That was a good talk she did! Also, it sounded like she was speaking some sort of combined English and American accent combined!

I don’t think Sex Education will be comparable to the X-Files in years down the road though.

Definitely not, but I understand that of course she needs to promote her current projects as well. I do enjoy Sex Education, but it’s just another teenage coming of age drama/comedy really, I don’t think it’s anything that groundbreaking to be perfectly honest. It always reminded me a lot of Skins which came out years earlier

It’s a fun show though, I am looking forward to the second season

It is good to hear her speaking positively about The X-Files again

She posted a teenage pic of her from the 80's in her punk-ish phase and said she still feels like that in her head!

I totally get that feeling too. I don't feel my age number.

Yeah, its good she is talking positive about the X-Files again. As a whole, it was an amazing show that was different for its time.

Honestly I was a bit surprised it was something that Gillian was interested in, you don’t normally get actors as big as her wanting to play the parent on teen dramas.

She did talk about never being offered comedy before though, so it sounds like she wanted a role that she could have fun with, and she is very good in the part

And I don’t feel my age either, in my mind I’m still stuck in the 1990’s

Yeah, I think she mainly saw an opportunity to play comedy plus she likes teasing with “naughty” topics too. It’s like her release from The Scully image.
