I was listening to the Purple Stuff podcast where they were discussing things of 1990. They mentioned this Roy Rogers commercial that had Gillian Anderson in it before X-Files and mentioning how she was hot. But I found it funny cause they wondered why she sounded like she was speaking with what sounded like a British accent. They had no clue about why.

It seems like a lot of people didn’t realise at the time, it only really became more known after The X-Files ended and she moved to the U.K.

I don’t recognize a lot of those faces, maybe 3. But Gillian was definitely one of the earliest to portray a power woman on tv!

 Some of the faces are a bit obscure to me as well, Scully, Buffy, and Xena were the main ones that casual audiences would recognise from the 90’s I think __________________

I didn’t recognise Lucy Lawless cause her hair is blonde there and I’m used to the Xena black hair!
I also see Emily Deschanel, who plays Bones on Bones. Wonder why GA is running with shoes off in that pic? What movie is that from and those wooden shoes she’s holding look so uncomfortable to me |
