Scully was a feminist icon, at a time when very few or probably none who were women existed on television at the time. The way society viewed women in the 90s was a stark contrast from how much more liberated they are today. Those who only find the flaws in the way she was written are ignoring how her greatness overshadows that. I have very few complaints about the way Scully was written and I can appreciate her strengths.

My sister was 9 at the time. I can't remember if she colored her hair red though since we are both brunettes.

I guess she's talking to someone at PETA. They were charging $40 for people to stream their anniversary event.
