I think I need to re-watch for the tie thing. But another thing I noticed in "Rush", Mulder is making a comment about that guy Max moving with high speed and Scully saying something about other people moving too slowly. Yeah, I know - shipper thoughts and all - but I thought: Heh, that's such a hint after the "Millennium" kiss.

I just watched "Hollywood, A. D." and man - apart from the last scene with Mulder and Scully holding hands and the zombies dancing - this was such a bad episode. *head-meets-desk*

Did u notice that when Mulder and that guy are in the car going to the Cathedral, they have a conversation in progress, but we just hear him say:

"Just curious if she's more than your partner"

and Mulder replies: "enough!!"

Thanks for the new thread, lollies.

NicaBarcelona - yeah. it had some moments, like when Skinner compared himself to Marilyn Monroe. But over all I thought it was crap. The "religion based" main plot (I will admit I had a real issue with the cross scene) ... I don't know. I understand it should be a mirror to the "movie" plot but seriously - no. And the "movie" plot thing really wasn't funny, IMO. I knew exactly when they wanted me to laugh but I just couldn't because as I said, I didn't think it was all that funny. *shrugs*

Last episode I watched was "Patience". It wasn't a bad episode - the MotW wasn't the most scary or interesting thing ever, but I really liked the whole B-Plot --> characterisation of Scully in her new situation and Doggett trying to adjust. I'm still saddened by the whole no-Mulder situation. However, only ten more episodes till Reyes.

Hi there! I'm with you when you say that the episode was no good. In fact, from season 6 over, the main thing of the series wasnt' the X files. It was all about them and their relationship. Of course, as a shipper I was very happy that this happened, but I would loved that they had kept the mistery and good scripts of the original X-files. I think they could've done everything, but they changed the subject, and the X-files started to seem a romance novel..

However, I still like season 7

I don't know. The thing is, I didn't feel about it that way: I was getting pretty impatient during season 6 and 7 for them to finally resolve the sexual tension. It was long overdue in my opinion. I kind of wished though they would have done it in a more casual sort of way. All the angst ("What if this destroys our friendship etc.?") and drama was okay for a while but in the end it taxed my patience. I was pretty glad when they finally put an end to it in "Existence", making Mulder recognise that they should have done that long before.

I don't think a relationship would have stood in the way of them investigating things. Quite the opposite, I would have loved to see that play out, I'm sure it would have added another interesting layer to the show. I'm not sure why but somehow I would have trusted the writers to do a better job with that than other writers did on shows like Alias etc. where I totally hate the "romance" parts.

So yeah, that's my main problem with the relationship. I hope when they do a second movie, we will finally get to see a glimpse of some "normality" without angst and UST in their lives.

So back to the original question: The last episode I watched was "Nothing Important Happened Today".

Super Soldiers? My ass. The whole term sounds like a brandname for a new toilet cleaner.

The best thing I can say about the episode is that I adored Reyes in that tight, black, sleeveless turtleneck dress.

Is there a possiblity of them doing a second movie? Because they definitely should. I loved Fight the Future.
NicaBarcelona, those were pretty much my thoughts throughout the last couple seasons. I was uber excited when they finally got over the angst and the UST and got together, but then the whole X-Files part of the show sort of...petered out. A mixture of the two would have been amazing. Ah well.
I actually just watched the movie last night. But the last episode I saw was Existence.

Hi there!

That's what I meant. The original scripts of the beginning of the series were really good. That's what I missed in the last seasons. However, I still love Season 7; after so many years teasing, there was the need to give it an end and finally get them together in way that was believable. I wouldn't have liked it if they showed too much of their relationship.

By the way, Hollywood AD was written and directed by David Duchovny (at least that's what I heard, so correct me if I'm wrong). And All things was written and directed by Gillian. I think this shows the vision of the series of the two of them, and I prefer Gillian's version. I think she wrote a good episode, not only for the shipperism it involves, but for the whole ep.

See ya!!

Oh there is definitely a possibility and I'd be very surprised if there wasn't at least one more movie. Chris Carter wants to do it, David and Gillian want to do it and they have also attached a director. I think it's just a matter of getting the script finalised and getting everything in motion. Apparently CC has the story he wants to do but just doesn't have it in script form at the minute

Yeah DD did Hollywood AD and also directed the brilliant The Unnatural. He also helped write Colony, Anasazi, Avatar, Talitha Cumi, William and The Sixth Extinction. Gillian only wrote/directed all things, which I have to say is one of my least favourite episodes so I'd say I prefer David's vision

If it comes down to it, I'd have to say that I prefer "all things" over "Hollywood A.D.". But I must admit I wasn't a big fan of either episode.

I agree about the first thing. As for the second thing, I never meant they should have shown them playing minigolf or whatever - however, I would have liked to see how their relationship affected them working together. They showed glimpses of that in "Je Souhaite", I think -- I would have liked to see that explored. But that's just me.

As for the movie, I'm really curious how CC will get out of that whole super soldier story-line. Though I have to say -- have you ever listened closely to Annabeth saying the s-word? She always sounds like she'd burst into laughter.

Last thing I watched: "Jump The Shark" and must admit I didn't really get the whole thing. I guess that's because I never saw a single episode of the Lone Gunmen. Did anyone here for that matter?

However, it had Marcus Giamatti as a crazy terrorist. And you know, my favourite moments were Reyes and Doggett giving each other these looks in the interrogation room. Too funny. Made me laugh a lot.

Hey!

I watched Alone yesterday and particularly loved one scene. This is the one that Scully is doind an autopsy and Mulder comes in. The other girl leaves the room and M&S start talking. I really liked the moment when Scully says she's going to do a culture on some bacteria she's found and Mulder doesn't want her to do it. He's very serious about it and while she's talking to him, her tone seems to be like the one of a child who knows that is doing something wrong. I find the whole scene very cute, very paternal from Mulder.

PS.: I dunno if I made myself clear.. I'm always trying to improve my English...
