He may not be. I think maybe you tune it out like some people in other cities tune out smells that newcomers or visitors notice.
I mean, I noticed the street horns and traffic noise while I was walking around NYC but didn't get annoyed by it. But then a few months later, I was back home and walking in downtown Vancouver and noticed "wow, for being in the heart of this city it sure is quiet, like no honking" it was kind of weird when I compared the quietness to NYC. I guess most Canadians don't honk. __________________

NYC is definitely not quiet but I don't like quiet. All other places I've visited are shut down by like 6 pm and I hate it.

Yeah, being able to get anything you want despite nighttime, is a luxury, although where I live, I have a 7-11 across the street I can walk to if I was desperate craving something.

Yea I could not live like that! I'm so used to the luxury of being able to eat dinner late if I want to.

Well, even though I would like an afternoon nap attempt, I'm desperate for some clothes. So I plan to go Old Navy or the Gap in the big shopping place we have. But I sort of can hardly tolerate the facemask today. For some reason, I feel more like gagging with it, the longer I wear it today. So wish me luck there. I find wearing the mask ok in short amounts, like in and out of places, so its hard to just browse shop indoors at any length right now

Do they allow you to try things on? I don't shop in person right now because we can't try anything on.
I just ate the most delicious tacos. |

Yeah, shopping is out of the question here. The stores have been closed for what feels like more than 2 months. Sigh.

I think that's for the best. You can shop online. I can't believe our governor wants to open up restaurants again after what happened last time.

Well, I assume he's trying his best and balancing his options. There is quite a few people on minimum wage jobs who need to go back to work, no?

Without considering that all they have to do is pay people to stay home safe.
