thanks for starting!
I thought NYC had enough trees for what it was. But compared to Vancouver, not really! Yeah, it was that place, Myra! It was a fun surprise to just walk into it! __________________

You're welcome.
We definitely do not have enough trees. You'll especially feel it during summer. That's a nice area of the city. I usually go there to shop! |

Yeah, I can bet in the hot summer, all the heat from the concrete and buildings without shade can make things even feel worse!
When I went in late March, they had a cold snap and predicting snow... but with my weird body temperature, I was walking around in a short sleeve shirt among the New Yorkers who were wearing their winter jackets. You're lucky to be able to go anywhere interesting to get or eat stuff. The advantage of a large city around you! __________________

We have a term for it although I can't remember it right now.
That's because Canadians are insane. March is cold af and also my birthday month which sucks because it either snows or rains on my birthday. I think you're hungry. |

Thanks for the new thread.
It's been a bit warmer here today so I went on a long walk through the fields and paths near here. It's a bit weird being in the countryside on my own but I enjoyed it. I've never been to New York. My friends did want to go at one point, but it never happened. __________________

Claire, do you see any cows or sheep on your walks? I also think your lucky cause you can visit London on weekends or holidays. Great food there too!
Yeah, I was talking about food all morning, but I finally had some soup so I should be ok for now. MY birthday is in August so I always have been able to not have to go to work on my birthday. __________________

I could pop into London. I'm not sure I really want to right now, though!
Thanks Myra. I did see some cows, Leanne. __________________

Well there's a kind of pandemic on. Plus having to wear a mask on the train is a bit annoying. Also London is ultra expensive, I tend to only go a couple of times a year.

I live in Kent which is a large county in the southeast of England. London is only a 50 min trip on the train from here. I used to work in London years ago, so I know it extremely well. Commuting in every day wasn't that pleasant though.

Oh man, I would be there all the time! I can't wait to go back to Europe and properly visit London.

Well I understand you would as a tourist, but it's different if you live here!
We took the kids in to show them around though. We took them to the Tower in the summer. __________________
