Yes it's all getting quite worrying right now. How we control this thing until we have a vaccine is not going to be easy. I think the problem with tests right now is that colds and flus are suddenly circulating again, and everyone needs a test to go back to work and school, and the government didn't prepare for a big increase in demand. And yes Kia our numbers are going up right now.

Bit worried about christmas this year if we can't have more than 6 people and with localised lockdowns in certain areas which make travelling hard...but i guess its not worth worrying now.

On the topic of conspiracy theorists: there are so many that are really weird but to a certain degree, as an x-phile, I feel I am prone to believing that there is the chance of shadow governments, plots and underground laboratories that produce biological weapons like covid
I don't walk around promoting stuff like that but it wouldn't catch me completely by surprise
Also, I like myself some good solid proof that can stand up to scientific scrutiny...

Unlike some other people talking about explosive trees in Austria and tree cities and science thinks so...

Well, I don't believe COVID was man-made, it started from bats. However, I do think the government covers up A LOT and that's not a conspiracy theory. There have been plenty of whistle blowers.

That's true. But to me a conspiracy theory would be something like people saying 9/11 was fake or that man never made it to the moon. I really believe every government hides things from the public.

The 9/11 theories are incredible... and I think what actually happened is crazy and horrible enough. My brain sees no necessity of further complicating it.

Well, I saw it from my bedroom window so I can attest that it was very real. I'm more in disbelief that America has been mourning this tragedy for 19 years but seem to forget every other tragedy in the world within a day.

I was listening to a podcast a few weeks ago that dealt with how good the US were at mourning together after 9/11 and what a great tragedy it is that the country is so divided these days that almost 200,000 dead of Covid doesn't really seem to sink in the same way.
They described it as a hidden trauma.

And I am so sorry you had to witness this tragedy. I can't even imagine. I felt like I was drowning watching it live on TV so... I really have no words.

By the way, we have the same discussion about ignoring what horrible things are happening elsewhere. I read somewhere it's psychological. We cannot deal with all of it so our brain ignores a few things.
When the refugee camp on Moria was on fire a satirical newspaper titled "Refugees are sorry they are not French cathedral" because so much empathy swept all over the globe when Notre Dame was burning but these people have been ignored for years.

By the way, I am online so much today because after my migraine attack my body decided a urinary tract infection was the logical next step.
