 Makes you wonder what would have happened if Mulder hadn't been abducted at the end of the series ETA: Just watched "Theef" and that last line from Mulder? You do keep me guessing  __________________

I like that scene when she calls up Skinner and Mulder looks all dejected when she doesn't want to him. It makes me chuckle. Oh and that whole look between them when they find nothing on the disk, very angsty.

I might be the biggest liar of them all. But he told the truth for once! And I really think that this might have been something of a turning point for her. Wasn't it this time around, when "Per Manum" happened, too?  ETA: The first two episodes of s8 will forever break my heart.   Just watching "Per Manum" - which takes place 14 weeks after Scully conceived. Do we know when exactly that happened? "All Things"? ETA: I just had a thought ... obviously, that doctor Parenti had access to Mulder's donation as well as Scully's ova, right? So why didn't it take? Somehow I always assumed that this is how it happened. Or maybe that "Never give up on a miracle" actually refers to the fact that it did happen after they had sex at the end of s7? Oh, maybe they slept together after what happened in "Per Manum"? This might not make any sense to you but my sleep-deprived brain is confused I'd rather they created William by ... well, by sleeping together than by an evil doctor who mixed together their genes and implanted it  AAND ANOTHER ONE - ETA: Why did we never get to see Mulder's first reaction to Scully's belly??? ... okay I need to stop ETAing ... this post might be a novel by the time I finish this series, which will be soon That scene when Mulder arrives at Scully's apartment and the Lone Gunmen greet him, Langly says something about how now they can learn more about the 'blessed event' aka Scully's pregnancy. Also, from early in the episode I got the vibe that Mulder might think that Scully slept with someone else and got pregnant? ETA (last one, I promise) I am watching the finale now (I actually watched the whole of s8 in one day!) and Knowle Rohrer (or however you spell that name aka Casey!) anyway ... he said that the chip made her pregnant. This actually works with my theory  In that Mulder and Scully slept together after the events of "Per Manum" and somehow it needed to be done like that (it makes sense in my head!) so Parenti made sure the IVF did not work. He then 'switched on' the chip (because he knew she would sleep with Mulder It still makes sense in my head) and there we go ETA ... call my Krycek, I lied  So, in that last scene Scully says that she feared the 'how' and 'why' from the moment she became pregnant. And that she knows Mulder fears it too. Erm, isn't that almost proof for my theory? They totally did it and she totally got knocked up  __________________
