GM also talks about watching dvds of Veronica Mars, and later both Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat guest starred on that show. (But not together.)

 There's probably lots more! ETA: how about in season 3 when Michael is talking to Rita and mentions Arrested development and the narrator goes "Hey! That's the name of the show!" Don't know if that counts but its awesome!__________________

Arrested Development in Popular Culture
First, just let me say that I'm new here, and I haven't had a chance to browse all the threads, so if this belongs in another thread feel free to move it.
Anyway, I recently found some references to AD in popular culture, and it made me want to share! Has anyone heard of the X-Men? Yes? Okay, there's a panel from one of the recent X-books that has a character doing his best Steve Holt impersonation. LOL!  There's also an old Saved by the Bell episode called "The Election" where Jason Bateman gets written up for 9 votes in the school's presidency campaign. LOL! I wonder if the creators of AD knew this when they were making their own election episode.
