Yun-Jin
- Born 7 November 1973 in Seoul, South Korea.
- Although born in Korea, she was raised mostly in New York City.
- Speaks fluent Korean and English.
- She has been called "The Korean Julia Roberts."
- Her favorite LOST character is Locke.
- Originally auditioned for the part of Kate.




Sun-Hwa Kwon is one of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 along with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon.
Pre-Crash
Sun was a lonely housewife who learned English in order to leave her husband, Jin. She had an affair with her English teacher, who later committed suicide after Jin attacked him on orders from Sun's father, Mr. Paik. She was planning on leaving Jin at the airport before the crash, but he gave her a white flower and she changed her mind.


On Island
At first Sun seemed like a subservient wife but soon broke out of her shell. She did whatever Jin told her to for a while. She helped grow food for the other outcasts and became a solid part of the group. She soon revealed she'd secretly learned English and began to show a much stronger and darker side to her personality. She left the island without Jin.


Off Island
Sun gave birth to Ji Yeon, the child she conceived with Jin on the island. She now owns half of Paik Industries. Mourning the assumed death of her husband Sun is determined to seek revenge against Ben, whom she holds responsible.

I hope so. I'm hoping that Sun and Jin will eventually find each other now that they're in the same time period again. Hopefully sooner rather than later. They've been apart long enough.

Thanks for the new thread.

Yesterday's scenes with Sun and Jin in the other timeline just confirmed that I like how far she's come. I can't wait to see where she goes from here and I hope we get to see more of her on the island soon.

I wonder if she still speaks english in the ALT timeline. I know they made it seem like she did, but that could have been intentional.

she was also called "Ms. Paik"...not sure if that's significant or not

I think she knows English, but Jin is still a jerk in that reality, so she didn't really want to do him any favors.
