Shetan & anyone else that creates all the lovely art could you tell me some of the helpful sites you used when learning to create your fanart? I am a begginer and am wanting to slowly teach myself. I have Photoshop 7. I do mean the very basics here too! For example, what effects did you use when creating this avie I am using? Did you do this with just special filters, brushes, etc.? I don't even know what all effects you were using.

If any of you know of any tutorial sites that specialize in things like showing how to do fanart effects versus creating these weird a@# abstract effects some of them promote please PM me. Thanks!

Well I basically first contrast the image. Then taking another layer of the same picture multiply it. Merge together. Then take another layer of the same picture and "Sepia" it (it's in the aristic effects). Then you can multiply, screen, overlay it... Download brushes for Paintshop Pro from various websites...OF THE SKY or Tere Classic Art... IT's fro paintshop pro not photoshop...

Then you basically take the texture and put it in a new layer over the original picture and multiply and screen it to whatever your heart's desire! Hopefully that helps!! I"m not too familiar with photoshop!

. It's sad that we're being slow. I hope the new episode next week with start it up again.

I'm hoping for some Shayid goodies in the promo too, although they'll probally just focus on Clarie and Charlie. I'm getting tired of these reapeats already, and it's only been two weeks. I'm really glad Lost is a new show, so they didn't have a huge hiatus like other shows did.

Ha! I love the bump icon! I could watch it for hours!

Shayid in the promo would be awesome, but I'll be satisfied with some scenes in the episode. I am so looking forward to the C/C scenes and how everyone will react on Claire returning. This episode will be awesome!!

I wouldn't have thought of pairing them either. I was initially rooting for a *gasp* Kate/Sayid hookup. But now, how glad am I that it didn't happen and TPTB didn't do that. The Sayid/Shannon couple was just a great move! I love them together!

I thought that the winter hiatus was bad for all of my shows. I am really dreading the summer hiatus. Hopefully the Lost people don't leave us with too much of a cliffhanger in May!

And I am also someone who didn't picture Sayid and Shannon together. I didn't really have someone picked for Sayid, but I thought Shannon/Sawyer was sort of interesting.

And O/T... reinbowbrite, I'm adding my voice to that of Steph (from the Alias ep thread) in encouraging you to visit the LFN thread (on the television board). It's only a little thread, not a board; you can do it!

Steph and I do our best to keep up discussion, but there are only a handful of us LFN fans here (at least that post), so we would certainly like you to join us...the more, the merrier!

Hey, look at the shows we're talking about....Lost, Alias, and LFN. And you're suprised that there is a conspiracy?

Okay, to get this back on topic. Let's see...I know! If a split happens in the camp (Locke vs. Jack...and not saying that it will happen, since I don't read spoilers, but if it does, as it looks like it might...) on whose side do you think Sayid and Shannon will be? I would guess after the compass incident that Sayid will choose Jack's side. Shannon is tougher, since I am predicting Sayid will go with Jack and (obviously) Boone is with Locke. I would hope that she would stick with Sayid and join Jack's side.

I think she would stick with Sayid for 2 reasons, 1)he is the only one that has really treated her with any respect and 2) she would do it just to piss Boone off.

I had just glanced at your post at first and saw you mention Alias and Locke vs. Jack and thought at first you were talking about Jack on Alias. I was about to start posting that Jack would so kick Locke's a$$!

Sorry, I just love Jack on Alias. He is so serious all the time and yet even when he is being so serious he can be funny with it. For any of you that watch Alias, if you have not already, you should download the bloopers sometime. They are frickin' hilarious! I think Victor G. must be a riot. I hope they come out with some Lost bloopers. Those would be fun to watch too.

I'm sure like you already mentioned that Sayid would stick with Jack because of the compass incident. Shannon and Boone are very close, but he seems to kind of annoy. She seems to be more interested in Sayid

I do agree that Jack would kick Locke's butt... but then again I think I'm being biased... Does anyone here agree that Alias is going downhill... I hope that doesn't happen with Lost...

Anyways, I think with the whole Shoone thing, I think Boone is bitter of what Shannon did... I mean seriously who wouldn't? So he tries to put her down and I think that is where the tension comes from... but Sayid helps Shannon up and I think Boone is a bit jealous/angry because he is angered by the fact that Shannon is being helped and I think he's jealous because well- maybe he sees Shannon actually liking a guy and he always wanted to be that guy.Do you think he's possessive of Shannon for a reason? If he really hated her, he wouldn't care but I think the fact that Sayid may add to her happiness and the fact that he is a guy that Shannon likes makes him like "grrr"
