Your saying Nina was casted due to her looks and that may be true, but then we have to wonder why the actress who played Bonnie was casted. I think she's the token colored girl. I am not trying to sound rude or anything (because Im colored myself, lol) but they just decided to make sure their cast wasnt all white and didnt cast her based on talent. So in a way she was casted for her looks too.

Hopefully with time both their acting improves because I've had issues with their acting in some scenes, especially for Elena in the ep where Vicki died.

no i wasnt wondering why bonnie was cast becauseyea if elena was cast for her look, most likely bonnie too. so they are all tokens of some sort. you have the blond girl, the brunette girl and the black girl. casting always has certain ideas of how they would like their characters to look, of course they cannot be completely talentless, but the look has alot to do with it.

but yea i hope they will all improve and begin to understand their characters better. it would make watching more enjoyable. but i think on every show you can notice differences in the acting from start to its current season. i mean on LOST the acting is amazing, and everyone was well cast but even if you watch evi's scenes in beginning you can tell where she is a young actress in comparison to a scene like with her leaving aaron in WHH in s5.

Yeah I agree with Lost/evie, but the difference is on Lost the casting was pretty good to begin with.

On TVD, sometimes I think Ian can do better, lol. Everyone is beneath him in acting, even Paul.

I think the best female actress is Caroline, but thats terrible since she'll never be the lead.

I think her face is kind of.. off. Like her lips cross over eachother, and one eye is higher than the other. Maybe it's just me, but I don't really find her very pretty. To each their own.

yea i agree with caroline. havent liked her character much but her acting is definitely best out of the girls.

actually in the book, caroline would fit elenas description most, since elena is a blond in the books.

and ian has improved sooo much from boone tho. i mean yea maybe there has been like one or two scenes i was like maybe he overacted a bit, but for the most part he is basically what keeps the show together haha

This description cracked me up. I was just trying to sound nice obvs. But since you said it, yeah this is the problem for me too. Very asymmetrical features.

I was thinking that too...but I think they didnt want the audience to feel their lead was an airhead, even though a lot of blonds are intelligence on TV.

He's definately improved a lot! And is the best part of the show

its odd on tv she can have moments where she looks weird with the assymetry, but then i saw her in her live chat and she was really pretty.

Whyyyyyyyy. Why must Damon be compared to Spike? Im a little insulted as a Spike fan.

From the getgo it was obvious Spike was more of a lover than a fighter, but with Damon he doesnt have any humanity atm.

I disagree. Damon definitely does. He puts up a huge front, though.

True but at the moment he's not comparable to Spike. I dont even get the comparisons and I seriously hate when Angel fans make the comment about how 'neutured' Spike became in the later seasons (Im on TVD board right now

), when to begin with, it was ALWAYS obvious Spike became weak when it was pertaining to women.

We still dont know what Damon's weak point is, so seriously, I dont see how Damon changing because of Elena is comparable to what Spike became later on with Buffy when it was always clear Spike was like this with women (Dru, Dawn, his mother) so it was never out of character. With Damon it would be a complete turn around with the way hes being presented right now.

i love them both but noooo, who is comparing damon to spike. completely differant entities at this point.

altho i wouldnt say damon is as bad as ppl say. spike was way worse than damon at the start

I think Spike had more layers than Damon does because the audience was able to understand why Spike did what he did. On TVD, they chose to show us Stefan's flashbacks withElena while carefully leaving out Damon's.

Btw, Ally you here? Im curious as to why Michael was jealous that Ben and Brian had sex. I think he was jealous because Brian had sex with his boyfriend, but he was also jealous Ben had sex with Brian and he didnt.

OMG. Damon was such a PRICKKKK. WTH. He really pissed me off in this one. I flippin' loved Lexi in the episode, she was the best female character introduced in this show. This is just sad.

Ada btw yesterday I forgot to comment on the Spuffy rape. I know about it but I wasn't

about it because I don't know how vampires work on that show. Not that rape can ever be justified but idk was he posessed or sth? Or was he just a d-bag?

Have you watched the series? Spike raped Buffy because she had broken up with him and he wanted to have sex with her again. When she refused, he went crazy and tried to rape her. Spike didn't have a soul at this time, so (as awful as it sounds), it never really bothered me. Especially, compared to all the emotional abuse he had put her through that year. It's not to say he didn't help her when she was going through the worst time in her life, but there was also a point in the relationship when he stopped considering her needs, and only thought about his. He would've done anything to keep her with him, which included trying to convince her that she was meant for darkness. When she managed to buffer him, he looked completely horrified just after he realized what he had done. I think he was in a rage, he wasn't even thinking clearly. Which is not an excuse, but supernatural shows have ways to get away with certain things that otherwise nobody else could. For instance, I could never get into Chuck/Blair because of his attempted rape with past characters. It's just something that completely turns me off a character. Can he redeem himself? I guess. But I'm not interested.

But with Spike, he was a vampire that didn't have a soul. So, evil was what he was. It's kind of complex and you'd have to watch the series to understand better. After he tried to rape Buffy, he drove somewhere and went through trials to get a soul. Once he was ensouled, he was a completely different person.

Michael was jealous because a) he thought Ben was only his, someone Brian couldn't have, but mostly because b) Brian has ****ed everyone in the world, except Michael.
