Every true television fan knows it starts and ends with one thing - chemistry. And boy, do those two have it! Both on and off the screen. And until proven wrong, we here truly believe that Evi has a crush on Matt

she's also totally in love with his kids

And obviouslly, like Bennifer, Brangelina etc., those two have got a nickname as well - Mavie.

1. the way she looks at him is undeniable

Evangeline: Well, never in a million years did I imagine I would ever attempt to go surfing but I tried it for the first time a few days ago, right in Matthew's (Fox) backyard.

So tell us - what's the gorgeous Matthew Fox really like?
Evangeline: Matthew's like a father - he takes care of us kids! I'm always bugging him about his age and telling him he's an old man, but you can see he's a father, because he's got an instinct to take care of people. I think people who've never had a child are more likely to see the world through just their owns eyes. Whereas someone who's a father or mother is more likley to be aware of other peoples feelings.

Evangeline: Matthew Fox was really pivotal for me at the beginning. I have a hard time when people tell me what to do and when people assume I don't know things. I am kind of headstrong and have pride issues. He was really gentle about his way of leading me, it was always very subtle and well-intentioned. If he was ever able to guide me, it was usually done by example or it was situational, or it was him protecting me when I didn't even realize what he was doing. I learned from him that you should bare yourself in front of the camera and in front of your fellow actors. I learned about the absolute trust you must have with your fellow actors. Matthew completely opened up for me as soon as they called action.

So I've been thinking about how I'd like to see Jate this season and how it'll affect Mavie's relationship.
I know people have been saying Jack got dark the second season and will probably get darker this season, but towards Kate he was never... dark, just nonchalant at times. I think I'd like to see him get really really dark [maybe grab her arm forcefully or something] - and don't get me wrong, I'm not big on violence or anything, I just think it'll be really good for the scene, real intense [like before the kiss], and also it's interesting to see how Mavie will play it since they're close friends.

you couldn't see Mavie in the kiss Shiran?? i really could see Evi ..and, i know probably it's just my mavie mind..but i think Matt was WAAAAAY to "shy" during that kiss.and there's definitely a reason..

i mean: i KNOW the jack&kate kiss HAD to be passionate and not all about tongue.. the writers definitely told them to not make a kiss like the skate one..! it had to be something totally different and matt had to act as the most shocked person in the world.. but still: damn it, he almost didn't open his mouth at all!..thare's definitel a reason for that because i've been watching some of his kisses with other actresses..and it's NOT the same..

talking about Evi though..i totally see her in that kiss..so passionate and full of desire

I think the Kiss was very mavie because when it ended They really were AMAZED.
just... AMAZED. and it really did something to them.

The kiss started as a normal TV kiss but as they went more 'into the moment' it became a real kiss. And the crew was pretty far away when they filmed the kiss.

My guess is that the director said to Matt to hold back during that scene and to Evi; 'Well, you just... you go for it!'

I have no idea how they do scenes like that... We had that 'previously on Lost' footage where the crew is obviously pretty far away...

I'm not sure whether they use zoom a lot or just put the camera all over the actor's face...
