 Pilot part 1 & 2 Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, a commercial airliner flying from Sydney to Los Angeles, hits turbulence and breaks apart in mid-air and crashes on a deserted tropical island in the South Pacific, with forty-eight survivors of the initial crash. Mysterious roars are heard from the jungle and trees are found knocked over. Jack, Kate and Charlie set out into the jungle to find the cockpit of the airplane so they can send out a distress signal using the plane's transceiver. They also find the pilot, who survived the crash, and informs them that the plane had been steered more than a thousand miles off course before it crashed, and thus any rescuers would be looking in the wrong place. The pilot is soon killed by a mysterious unseen "monster." A flashback shows Jack on the plane. Kate, Sayid, Sawyer, Charlie, Shannon and Boone head out to take the transceiver inland in an attempt to reach higher ground and get a better signal. Along the way they are attacked by a charging polar bear, which Sawyer shoots and kills. They are unable to send a signal with the transceiver due to the presence of another (stronger) signal, a distress call (translated by Shannon) sent by a French woman that has been playing over and over for approximately sixteen years. Back at the beach, a federal marshal wakes up during his operation and asks Jack about Kate, who, in a flashback, is escorted by the marshal on the plane. In another flashback, Charlie is shown to have sneaked a small bag of heroin onto the plane. |

I love this show. To be honest I didn't watch when it was originally on but I have started watching on Comcast ON Demand. I'm addicted.

Starting on the pilot part one now
 Jack has amazing eyes  I can't imagine how id react waking up in the middle of the jungle!! Vincent kinda creeped me out in this episode  lost music will always be creepy I love the calmness of the right of the beach and then shannon's screams slowly creeping in as you cut to chaos. Brilliant set up. What did happen to all the wreckage - like i remember it being around in season 1 but then it all disappeared Jack is so amazing saving everyone! taking control  To think he was going to be killed off in this pilot ep  the man being sucked into the plane  did NOT see that coming. Ahh Boone and the pens Sewing up his flesh ahhh i could never ever do that! kate is a strong woman Ahh spinal surgery story I wish we had gotten more of a friendship out of Hurley and Claire! I hate that they made Jin come across as a douche but rewatching it now even though his words are harsh - its all coming from love and protectiveness  Jate smiles  The Iron giant! "is that vincent"  that line will ALWAYS crack me up Lost has taught me: 1) to always sit in the middle of the plane and 2) always fasten my seatbelt. When that exra flew out of his seat i was like wtf.Gah taking shoes off dead people - creepppyyyy! Locke's orange smile! creepier i love how charlie tries to sing to jack and awkwardly trails off Iron giant again! in the creepy rain! always freaks me out! gah the body falling out of the cockpit scares the bejesus out of me "i'm fine charlie's fine btw" gah and then the pilot waking my heart can't take it gah I love how jack holds onto Kate when iron giant arrives and another heart attack when the pilot is taken the blood Kate screaming out for Jack and then counting Gah the creepy rain just stoppin! I would never survive on that island the small smile on kate's face when jack appeared again ;sigh: she totally wanted to hug him Pilot part one is just so good! packed full of action! And my jater heart loves that they had so many AMAZING moments. From day one Watching Part 2 Next |

Gah finding out charlie was a druggie made him less likable for me in the beginning. still awesome humor tho  Shannon suntanning love it God's friggin gift to humanity - one of the best lines of the show I wanted a Shannon/Claire friendship too! when claire revealed she hadn't felt the baby move i was like confiding in the wrong person!  i really hate that they make Jin such a douche :-/ I wonder if they Michael Walt had stayed on the show if they would have had sun hook up with michael.Walt annoys me. funnily enough if i found handcuffs in the jungle i wouldn't think bad guy on board - i would think couple being kinky Oh yeah i forgot i didn't like sawyer much in the beginning too and i love hurley! I wouldn't volunteer to go the hike that high i love how concerned jack is for kate. my dislike for sun in the later seasons doesn't give me much sympathy for her no matter how douche y Jin is Ahh jin/hurley scene I never ever expected boone and shannon to hook up i just thought they didn't get along Sayid and Kate's faces as they argued gah backgammon symbology! light vs dark - forgot alllll about that! Did we ever find out what secret locke told walt??? Ahhh jin feeling claire belly another friendship i want Ahhh polar bear in the jungle WTF! i was so creeped when first saw bear! sawyer was so bada$$ just standing there and shooting at it! I love hurley and jack scenes i would totally be like hurley and pass out at the sight of blood!does anyone know how to use a gun just pull the trigger i was shocked kate was the one in cuffs! especially after her whole how to use a gun bit you spent a year in paris drinking not studying gah the french message freaked me out! and playing for 16 years ! crazy! Charlie says it all "Guys where are we" Great second part. I personally prefer part 1 over part 2 but brilliant episode all round great start to a great show! |
