JJ Abrams Appreciation Thread #1: It's His Fault The Plane Crashed!
Yep, JJ Abrams is the co-creator and co-producer of the show Lost. He also directed the Pilot.
He has also created two other successful series: Felicity and Alias. So, yay JJ! __________________

A JJ thread?? You have noo idea how much I trash him over at the Alias board for what he did with Season 3.
Let's hope with Lost, there won't be any need for trashing and I can sit back and think up something nice to say about him. |

 He's my drug dealer... I don't really care how... weird Alias gets, as long as I've got my Alias. The fact that there is an Alias in the first place is JJ's fault.  I should probably take out the word "Appreciation" in the thread title. __________________

Yeah, just the JJ Abrams thread. We'll have to wait and see if he can be appreciated or not. Welll, season one and two were just awesome. There was asskicking!Syd and TotallHotGrey!Sark and Weiss and SpyDaddy and SpyMommy... But then season three rolls around and there's CrysAtTheDropofAHat!Syd, Blackalmostcan'tcomebackfrombeingevil!Sark, barely any Weiss, onthesidelines!Jack and no Irina  I was just really disappointed. I hope season 4 is better. And I also hope that Lauren is really dead and somehow over the break, Vaughn is murdered or something. He annoys the bejesus out of me. |

Even though, I agree, there was MAJOR suckiness in certain elements of Alias Season 3 (it's true that you can't blame him for the Irina thing though), it's not all his fault. There's only oh so many places you can go with a script after you took 2 years of a character's life and screwed around with everyone else's lives....lol. And come to think of it Felicity also got progressively worse from the middle of the second season to the fourth... hmmmm... Still though, it's true that we wouldn't have had those shows without him, and who knows, Alias might come back with a really kickass fourth season. The man's still brilliant...Yup. |

Ugh, you have no idea how much I dispise JJ right now
 But lucky for you guys, I'm all ranted out. I was all mad about him for starting Alias in January next year and I just decided to get over that as it would give him time to make Season 4 really good, but now he goes and puts my favorite character on recurring status! The best character on the show, and he's probably going to be somewhere in the background of gross Syd/Vaughn storyline of next season. I was also mad that he screwed around with the characters: making Syd all weepy and Sark black not grey. He better do something good with Lost, Dom and Emilie aren't much to tip the scale of me liking JJ after this David Anders bollocks. Was that a rant? No, my rants involve more swearing, and alot of grammatical errors in trying to get my point across. And more smilies. I so don't heart JJ right now. Not even a little bit. For he hath made me cry. |

I love reading people's different opinions about JJ.
There are always going to be people angry over the way that a television show goes. I was glad when the whole story with SD 6 ended because there wasn't really much that could be done for another season but, I have to agree with you about what happened to Sydney. I really started hating her towards the end of the season and she is meant to be the heroine!! I was looking forward to someong beating her butt in a fight but, it never seemed to happen. Okay.....back to Lost __________________

I've been watching the entire 1st season of Felicity this weekend and gawd, I love that show. And Alias!! *nods*
I wish I could say I would just watch Lost because JJ is involved, but alas, Ian and Dom count too  But still ... *appreciates JJ Abrams* |
