I think the first season was the best. S2 is good too but S1 is bettter.

Season 1 was LOST at its best. It was the reason why people got so hooked on that show, and unfortunately the writers saw it and felt secure enough to experiment way too much with the second season. Personally, if it wasn't for my interest in Jate I'm pretty sure I would've stopped watching after this season. I know everybody say it was good but not as good as the first one, but for me - it sucked.
I miss S1 and the focus being on the survivors, I miss Shannon, I miss Skate banter, I miss Jate flirts... I got none of that in S2. Not like I've expected, anyway. I hope the writers will redeem themselves on the 3rd season. And stop throwing all those new characters at us...

I agree on what Shiran has said.

And i liked S1 Locke better, he was a cool and mysterious character back then. Maybe we will get the old Locke back in season 3.

Season 1 was SOOOO much better! Like Parallax said, it had the REAL Locke! I think it was the best season of almost any new television show, it just rocked!

I loved Season 1, when Lost was more about the characters but still mysterious. Season 2 is good too but I felt the hatch and the button kinda overtook everything after awhile. Although I'm curious about the mystery of the island, I care more about the characters. I miss Boone and Shannon. I did love the introduction of Mr. Eko and Desmond (and Libby to a slightly lesser extent) in Season 2 though.

Plus, Season 1 had the HOT Skate kiss and so far, nothing tops that.

Agreed, S1 was greatness. It hasn't been topped... yet.

And Locke. My poor, poor Locke. I miss that mystic, zen-like Locke that hunted boar and always had words of wisdom.

Oh no! I love Locke right now. I can't imagine him being any other way. I guess I'll have to see what happens when I get my hands on the second season.

Ha, Skate, Jate...It took me a minute to recognize the couple combo names. I think I've spent too much time on the Grey's board and dealing with those combo names

I'll be watching eps nine and up tonight, so I'm sure I'll have more to talk about then.
