Why I consider her an outcast - she's an escaped prisoner - a fact that she has kept a secret from everyone on the island except for Jack and Hurley. She won't discuss her past with Jack, who she looks up to. She killed a man, robbed a bank, was on the lam - yeah, sure...she feels like she's part of the group!
True, but I always thought an outcast was someone who doesn't interact with members of a group. Kate has a relationship with nearly everyone in the group and I think that she's acted a part of the group many times. She's even seemed to feel apart of the group. I just dislike that she has called herself an 'outcast' when she gives the apperance of being apart of the group. She may not feel apart of the group, but a lot of other people seem to see her as apart of the group. I guess Sawyer said it as a way to let us see that he understands her more the anyone else on the island? Yeah, that must be it. Sawyer understands Kate and sees her.

I guess there's a difference from feeling like an outcast and actually being one. Example: High School. The only way you could possible describe my group would be "Heather's". Not that I really paid much attention to it (to busy trying to get into Stanford) but I was really, really, really popular (Jr/Senior yrs). But I dreaded going to school. I dreaded going to parties. I would hide from it when I could (Usually in the computer lab on fanforum) . I was part of the group but I still felt like the biggest outcast. But if you checked out my yearbook you wouldn't know it.

I'm thinking that's how Kate feels. Just because you're part of the group doesn't mean you feel like you are. She has to many issues. I think she wants to be more like Jack but feels more like Sawyer.

I loved Sawyer last night! I was lmao when he said the Bore peed on his shirt.

I loved Charlie. I loved Claire and Hurley and Sayid. I love them all.

B O R I N G ! ! ! ! !

That was my first impression, anyway. Sawyer playing tag with a boar has what to do with the plot? Then after I downloaded it I decided to just enjoy Sawyer's issues, which is not hard at all, since he's all fascinating and everything. It worked!

I guess Kate was not kidding when she said she's a vegetarian?

I was trying to catch Claire and Charlie's conversation as they walked, and I think I heard:

charlie: so. you were saying you had a dream about me
claire: not exactly. just that (???)
charlie: I'm sure you said that (???) claire (???)
claire: (???) charlie...
charlie: all right. all right.

I like them. I like everyone. I miss Ethan.

I don't think Sawyer's back-story was boring, I think it was too long, too much focus, and somewhat obvious.

Me too.

I feel like lately were getting jipped. I mean the whole Charlie storyline last week, Sawyer this week. Why not give us someone we haven't seen yet, or didn't see enough of.

Yes. I also think they could do without the flashbacks sometimes. Or mix them up like they did at first.

Nah, I think the flashback is essential. But, give us something to work with. The last two have been ... pointless.

yep, which surprises me, he went into detail with sawyer handing over an aussie $20 bill, and having rugby playing in the background in the bar scene... yet he has a "shrimp" stand very odd...

Well, he can't get everything right. He's not perfect. Close to, but not completely.

Maybe he used "shrimp" for the sake of the American audience. Alot of Americans wouldn't have a clue as to what a prawn is.

Actually, in America, the word "prawn" is used but not very commonly. I think it means giant shrimp to many Americans. I'm not sure if that's what it actually means but you say "prawn" on the menu if you want to give people a fancier impression of your shrimp.

I hated Sawyer too when I first saw him in the pilot but I grew to like watching him, especially his interaction with Kate. She seems to be more open with him than with Jack.

I like the way Sayid interacts with everyone. It's amazing that he had to be a tough military guy in his old life and yet has a very Zen-like calm. Like someone said before, I like that he talked to Charlie about getting help but not being pushy about it. I can't wait to see more moments of him with Shannon next week.
