It's a shame we haven't gotten any Juliet/Ben interaction in the present island time. Juliet's tape/confession is what started off this whole shebang. Ben knows what she did...and nothing. Not even a look shared between them in the premiere.

It sucks.

Yep. And to make it even worse, there probably won't be any Ben/Juliet interaction in season 5. It's as if TPTB don't even realize what they are wasting here. Disappointing indeed.

But there should be many Juliet/Sawyer scenes next year and that's gonna be highly entertaining if their season 3 scenes are anything to go by.

Ben/Juliet were one of the best things of season 3. I don't know why TPTB did what they did with them. As of now, I would be impressed if Ben mentions her again. Can I be added to the list, please? Juliet has become one of may favorite characters and is definitely the best female character on the show, for me.

I agree. I love Ben/Juliet. Their introduction in season 3 was what made me finally hooked on Lost, and I'm so sad TPTB seems to have forgotten about them. I loved when we found out Ben was obsessed over Juliet and considered her his, but there was never any follow up on that. Especially considering she betrayed him. It would have been so good and interesting to see their first encounter after her betrayal and see what Ben would do. Such a great opportunity missed.

Sawyer never got a FF shout-out, did he? Besides Kate telling Jack she was doing something for him? The people who stayed on the island didn't have FF, so I'm still hopeful that she'll stay on the show for a long time.

Are we sure that she'll be on season 5? or there's a possibility she died during these last three years in the island, while the Oceanic Six were off the island?
Well, they wouldn't want Sawyer to be alone with the Others in the island, right? He has to have someone with him .. And I'm really looking forward to their scenes. I really liked their previous interactions.

I felt exactly the same way. I always loved Sawyer, Claire and Skate but I wasn't that big of a fan of season 2 and already wanted to give up on the show but along came Ben and Juliet and I was fully back on board. As long as those 2 are still alive (as well as Sawyer of course), I'm gonna continue watching. The problem is that many characters I love have already gotten killed off (Charlie, Boone, Alex, Danielle etc.) that I always get paranoid by the end of every season because I have the impression that I jinx them.

And regarding the shout-out, what I meant was that Juliet is the only regular of the left behinds who has never gotten mentioned in any of the FFs. Everyone else has gotten mentioned at least once. I don't expect it from people like Sayid or Hurley but it would be nice if someone like Sun, Kate, Ben or Jack would at least remember that the woman ever existed.

And I don't think that anyone has to worry if she's back in season 5. There are so few characters left on the island (especially women) that it would be quite empty without her. And considering that she and Charlotte are gonna be the only regularly appearing women in the on-island storyline she should get a good storyline out of it. It would be absolutely incomprehensible if she's once again barely above redshirt status next season

Juliet is the first character on Lost that I truly love, so I'm really scared that she might get killed off. But Sawyer really grew on me. I was indifferent to him in the first season and sometimes I would get annoyed by him, but he has evolved so much. I love him, now. When he threw himself out of the chopper, I was so in awe by him. I love his nicknames and how he's so mean, but at the same time cares about the other people and wants to protect them. But I can't really ship him with Kate, although I like them and prefer them over Jate and I think they have great chemistry and he's so sweet to her, but I'm not a big fan of Kate. I mean, I don't hate her or anything, but she's not interesting to me and she sort of annoys me. So, when I don't love the female character, I can't really ship her with anyone or really get invested in that couple. But I hope that if she's gonna end up with either one of the two, I hope is Sawyer.

Back to Juliet and Sawyer, I loved their last scene in the finale, when he got out of the water and she's sitting there all cute drinking rum and not celebrating. lol I think they could become really good friends in these three years, and I'm really happy they'll have each other. I also think it wouldn't make sense for Juliet not to be in season 5, but I just wanted to make sure. I really don't want her to die.

I agree about Juliet and Sawyer. I would love to see them develop a friendship. But if there's one thing I don't want to see, it's a Sawyer/Juliet hookup. Not even for a one night stand. I love them both but their dynamic is too sibling like. I just found an old interview with Elizabeth where she says something similar about Sawyer and Juliet:

Q: Do you feel that Juliet has become a part of the castaway family or is she still a bit of an outsider? Does that change as we move into Season Four? Mitchell: Juliet’s definitely still an outsider, as far as that goes. However, I think she is more protective of them than they realize, which I think we know as an audience in the way that she’s behaved. But, I think it’s going to take a lot for them to welcome her whole-heartedly. I mean, a lot more even than what she’s already done. She has a relationship with Kate. She has a relationship with Sun. She obviously has a relationship with Jack. And she and Sawyer are, I think, kind of funny together, actually, because they’re like an irritable brother and sister, which is really good. I don't see anything between those two besides the possibility of a good friendship, at least not right now... unless they develop a really good SL for those 3 years they spent on the island and it's so great that you start believing they could work together... You didn't like TOW? It wasn't as near as good as the two other Juliet centric episodes, but I really liked the episode. Considering that Juliet was barely in an episode in Season 4 and sometimes just stood in the back, I was happy to get an episode solely about her, although it was kinda pointless, because we never had any follow up on Ben's obsession, I'm still not really sure what the Tempest's purpose was, and Jacket's kiss, although really sweet was sort of ruined by SNBH when Juliet said he kissed her for himself and he didn't deny it.

But still, it was nice to get more Juliet. And I'm still hoping for some follow up on Ben's obsession over her and Jack's "He knows where to find me".

Elizabeth and Damon Lindelof said on the ATOTC audio commentary on the season 3 DVD that Juliet has absolutely no interest in Sawyer. I just hope they keep it that way. The problem with that commentary is that they also talked about how Jack is drawn to Juliet and frankly, I haven't seen anything of it in season 4. The same goes for the whole letting go of Sarah deal because Sarah is another reason why he's in such a terrible mind frame in the future. Not to mention the whole emergency contact thing. Doesn't look like letting go to me.

I admit it, I hated the Other Woman. There are so many things wrong with that episode. Not to mention that it seems to be completely meaningless. The whole episode lead up to the kiss in the end and it turns out that it was no epic romantic moment. It was just a meaningless "Juliet continues to be second choice" event. Juliet's character got badly exploited in the flashbacks. I wouldn't have had anything against a casual affair with Goodwin but for some reason, TPTB felt the need to make him married and I have no idea why because the whole Ben obsession thing would have worked just as well without that element. Then they felt the need to portray Ben as a big time psycho and creep who let's a valuable member of his society die only because he sleeps with Juliet. It was always crystal clear that Ben was obsessed with keeping her on the island but there was no need to overlay it with such thick romantic layers. It seems to me as if they only did it to make Jack look like the better option for her but it turns out 4 episodes later, that he's no better than any man of her past. He used her just like Edmund and Goodwin did (and Ben would do so as well if he ever got her). The whole Ben/Juliet relationship got mangled because Juliet suddenly looked like a damsel in distress who needs saving and as if Ben and Juliet let his obsession rule their lifes, which they never did before.

Juliet went from Goodwin's other woman to the "hero's" other woman/rebound chick in those 45 minutes and I have no idea what the purpose of that development is.

And if the whole "Ben thinks I'm his" storyline ever comes up again, I hope it's without Jack. I hope Juliet faces and beats Ben on her own. I don't want Juliet to turn into a damsel in distress who gets saved by Jack. That's not who she is. And if somebody helps her, it has to be because that person cares for her and wants to do it for her sake. Jack would only do it because he would get to play the hero. Season 4 made it obvious that he doesn't care about her at all.
