I felt sorry for Sayid that he ended up killing his girlfriend. He maybe a torturer but he's a true romantic at heart. But I know Sayid well enough to know that he wouldn't have agreed to be Ben's little toy solider without a good reason. I know he hates that little bug eyed man just like the rest of the survivors. So he's only doing this to save his friends, what on the island? Are they really alive?

I thought Hurley's line refering to Miles as "another Sawyer" was funny. Looks like Sawyer has some competition.

We all know that at the season three finale that Kate is one of the Oceanic 6 that got off the island. So what is she doing in the future? From the looks of things she's become popular but is that a good thing?

sayid in the future really got to me... clearly he is only working for ben to protect the other five... jack, hurley, kate and two others... the chick he killed at the end had the same bracelet as naomi... interesting

Lost – a few comments/ideas after this past episode.

Oceanic 6 – Jake, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, and I’m saying Sawyer and John Locke. I think we were implied Locke and Sawyer in the finale … based on the hints in the show, I think Locke was the funeral that Jack had went to. And I think Sawyer was at home waiting on Kate. That’s my best guess.

Theory – I think these are flash forwards, and that it’s (so far) not all good for ANY of the survivors in the future. I think that this “gang” after Ben is not just after Ben, but after all the survivors. I think that’s the group on Naomi’s boat, and I think that’s the future “gang” that taunted Hurley, etc. My best guess is that the “gang” sent to the island now has been gathered and sent for all their own reasons (scientists wanting to study the abnormalities, etc) but the ultimate goal is to get rid of those on the island. In the “future” I think this gang is probably after the Oceanic 6 (thus Locke’s death, if that is him) and thus the hints that Sayid is killing those with the bracelet, and thus Sayid is “working for” Ben …

Oh, and I don’t believe Kate decided to stay behind. I think Locke and Sawyer are preventing her from going back to Jack until Sayid’s “deal” can be made. And I believe that we did not see, but it’s implied, that Sayid was allowed to take the girl back, but with a deal for Locke … something we’ve not seen yet but that will lead to his working for Ben in the future. Oh, and there is OBVIOULSY more proof to the oddities of the island, now a time warp and bearing information being wrong. Intersting.

I feel, personally, it's not that Sayid is a bad guy ... it's that he's saving his island friends, the Oceanic 6, from even WORSE bad guys. He's (I think) killing those that are after the oceanic six.

Couldn't agree more. You can see it in his eyes, and in the way he ALWAYS puts Kate first.

Crazy, but yeah. I think Walt is "all knowing" in his own way ... and was protecting his island friends ... which is what Sayid is doing. I think.

Right, but I'm not sure I believe that. I think it was Sayid's plan to keep Jack from screwing up whatever he's off to do now ... related to the island and rescue and finding out the truth of this new gang on the island.

Right. Nor are any of the "orgininal island people like Ben's friends, Juliet, Desmond, etc ... Just those who were on the plane.

I agree that Kate probably didn't choose to stay back with the Locke gang ... although I would have if I were her. Sawyer or prison .... hmmm, that's a hard choice. It does seem that she ends up making it back, though, and avoids prison. I wonder how that happens.

Also, the time difference thing that Dan discovered is VERY interesting. When Charlotte announced her name last week as "Staples Lewis" it became obvious to me that this is about time travel. It may have been obvious to others a long time ago, but I didn't want to believe it.

I am THOROUGHLY enjoying Season 4. The show came close to losing me in Season 3, but I'm glad I have hung in there. There have been many moments in this season when something has happened and I have responded with my mouth gaping and my hand covering it. (Like in this episode when Sayid was shot) Now THAT is a good show!!!

I'm just blown Sayid was definitely on my list of possible Oceanic Six people but I'm not even going to speculate anymore because things just seem to be getting crazier week after week.

What we definitely know: Ben can get off and on the island and continues to do so in the future (even though he told everyone the submarine was the only way), there is a time lapse on the island, Naomi and Elsa were probably working for the same employer an unknown person who is Ben's enemy in some way.

Oh the Ben thing was really freaky, even though I recognized the voice right away. It's weird because we as an audience always saw the survivors in a positive light and the others in a negative one. It's weird to think what we perceived as good and bad are now working together for some reason. I really want to find out why.

wow, this was a great ep! and wht is Ben doing as sayids boss ?? I felt bad for sayid tht in the future he isnt free, and controlled by ben..? Hurleys comment about miles was funny.. i cant wait for more, these eps end too fast lately

Well if the O6 all got a lot of money she could have paid for a really good lawyer.

I think the time thing was added to explain a difference in Walt's age. This is the 4th season but much less time has passed on the show. The 4 year age difference won't be as noticable on the adult actors but will on a child actor.

I think we are supposed to assume Sawyer is at home but I'm wondering if it isn't the man Kate married, Kevin, (played be Nathan Fillion) and loved but left behind in season 3 ep 'I Do'. ( For those not familiar with the "Whedonverse" Nathan played Mal on Firefly and Caleb on Buffy, where Drew Goddard got his start writing. )

Another thing, in flash backs Kate had been helped by the woman who Sawyer had conned. Does Kate know this and has she been conning Sawyer all along? Or will she find out? Although I like Sawyer and the chemistry between he and Kate, I think it's doomed. Looks like next episode they will get their chance for some happiness or at least great sex.

Also the funeral home looked to be in a poor black neighborhood. I don't know many white folks, and especially if they were one of Oceanic 6 and had money, who would be using a funeral home there. So my guess would be Michael. I can see not many going to his funeral since he had betrayed them to Ben. Of course he might not be one of the O6.

Holy crap! I've just watched the episode (yes, I'm on Scottish downloaders time) and all I can say is Holy Frickin' crap!

Sayid works for Ben? Surprisingly, I never read many spoilers for this episode so I didn't really even know it was a Sayid flashback. I kind of figured something big was coming because, well.. it is Lost and I have half a brain. I knew that whoever Sayid was working for, it was going to be someone shocking. When Sayid's boss starting speaking in the surgery, I had myself convinced it was Christian Shepherd. I thought that would be the big twist, that he's still alive.. but man, it was probably more shocking than that would be. Sayid works for Ben?!?! I still can't believe it!

Other things that rocked:

- Hurley conning Sayid and Kate... very clever little twist.

- As Crystal said "Daniel getting his geek on"... love him. Is it weird that I find him quite attractive?

- The hotness of clean and longer-haired Sawyer.

- The twist with Elsa shooting Sayid, again, very clever!

- Last but not least, the Hoolie scene. I've got to say, this is going to be high on my list of favourite Hoolie scenes. The emotion of it took my breath away. It's not often that Sawyer has really opened up like that... bless his little emtionally-retarted cotton socks!
