They kissed but they weren't together and Juliet knew that Jack was in love with Kate. So no they wouldn't be together. But they stayed friends and it was good.

Yeah I guess .. although I think if Kate was off the island they'd be together but it would almost be the same SL as Sawyer/Juliet I guess

JACK: I want to know what he said.

JULIET: I’ve been on this island for 3 years, Jack. 3 years, 2 months, and 28 days. He said that if I let him live and I helped you — that he would finally let me go home.

I think it wouldn't work. I mean, Jack living in the 70s for 3 years. If Jack was one of the left-behinders, things would've been different. He probably wouldn't accept waiting for help while Locke gets off the island. He probably would be the one to get off the island instead of Locke. That's just the way he's often been showed, especially during the first 4 seasons. More active than passive and obsessed to get off the island.

Now if in the end of season 4, Kate had stayed on the island and Juliet got off the island... maybe Juliet and Jack would've got together. That's something that could work, depending on why Kate stayed on the island and depending on the situation behind their last moment together (Kate/Jack) on the island.

Anyway, the dynamic of the story would've been completely different, IMO.

Yeah very true! Juliet would never want to feel like the other woman especially if Jack/Kate had some big romantic moment on the island before they left.
