I think it will come down to this. They will need Richard's wisdom, Ben's tactics, Locke's island connection, Sawyer's cunning/conning and also Jack's inspirational ability to give never say die speeches.
Don't forget Sayid. He is basically the only one with actual war experience.

True although his experience is mostly torturing, which I guess is useful too.

Actually wasn't he a communications officer in the Republican Guard? He became torturer after the war, I think.

Yeah he was a communications officer but he did torture for the guard as well when he went back into it. Didn't he have to torture Nadia?

Actually you can get all of that just from Richard!!

Because he is Richard...

So whoever employed them must have given them a secret question, which if the other person answers correctly, it would mean that he/she is a part of their conspiracy or whatever they are on the island to do. My guess is that they're Charles Widmore's people. It's just like the question Desmond asked of Locke in Season 2 " What did one snowman say to the other?" It was designed to be answered correctly only by Desmond's replacement for the Swan hatch.

As for what is the answer to the question "What lies in the shadow of the statue?", my guess is Jughead.

Where did you see this Bram guy amongst the Dharma inductees? I don't recall.
I agree completely with you. I think it's a code just like the Dharma snowman code, and the "statue" element of it is mostly just the producers trying to throw us off.

My only problem is that if they're working for Widmore, you'd think they would rather Sayid NOT be on the island, so why would Ilana forcefully bring him?

This is eerily reminiscent of last season with the freighters.

Well, if it was actually Sun who notified Charles about the plans to go back to the island, then Widmore should have known how necessary it is to re-create the conditions of the original flight. Meaning as many of the same people on-board as possible. So to have Sayid on the plane is a way of ensuring that the plane does crash on the island. Which is what Charles must have ultimately wanted so that his people could be on the island.

Of course, here I'm assuming that these are Widmore's people. Maybe they are not. Maybe they're someone else'.
