I think you really hit the nail on the head. Kate needs to be honest about her feelings.

Oh, I edited my post a bit, forgot a thought or two, which I just went back in to add. I always think of something more when it comes to these two, lol.

I adored how he was cupping her face when she was on the grown, and how her hand/arm kinda kept reaching out towards him.

I agree. Your post was wonderful Anji.

I really do think that's what it all comes down to. Honesty. If Kate just for once told Jack how she felt....I truly believe that things would be alot different. As far as Jack goes, sometimes, especially when we're vulnerable or frustrated we fall into the 'less complicated route' and that's what Juliet is. But that can only last so long because it's not what your heart truly wants. Just like for Kate, there will come a time when you can't hold back the truth anymore. In the meantime, I'm sure the writers have to know that all this 'waiting'.... is torture. But the best, most worthwhile... things in life, never come easy.

I loved how he comforted her with that soft voice, "It's okay."

there is OBVIOUSLY feelings there, but yeah I think we have all pretty much established that juliet is there and ready for a relationship, whereas Kate is who knows where....and at the moment she has problems of her own that have nothing to do with jack or sawyer. this to me is a welcome relief because her character really didnt seem to be developing.....maybe it's time for her to do some soul-searching

So our little triangle that then morphed into a square has not become a pentagon!

I love that there is this little quasi triangle between Jack-Juliet- and Ben!

Random thought, didn't Juliet kiss Jack in front of Ben in last season's finale? So why is it now that Juliet is all concerned Jack has to stay away from her??

By the end of the episode I thought we had gotten away with no Jacket kiss, and then bam!

I know it had to happen, but it broke my heart when it was Jack who intiated the kiss. I think that was actually harder to watch than the Skate cage scene.

Let me explain...

Kate and Sawyer had build up, and when they happened, we could see it coming. They spent half the season trapped in cages all by themselves. Cage sex was not all that suprising (the heart break was when Jack saw it

). Jack and Juliet on the other hand haven't actually had any build up this whole season. It made sense to me when he was hanging out with the Others, but in the finale, it was random, and same with tonight.

Jack confessed at the end of last season that he loved Kate, and it was reaffirmed this season that that love is still there. There was Kate's flash foward, but there was also their interaction in the beginning of the season. Whereas Juliet and Jack have had almost no private interaction to let us believe Jack is growing feelings for Juliet.

So tonight just seemed out of left field for me. Especially since even Juliet could tell how important Kate is to Jack when he ran to her side in tonight's episode.

I think it's interesting, because I believe both Sawyer and Juliet understand how much Jack and Kate mean to each other. I think they understand more so than Jack and Kate do. But unlike Jack and Kate they have taken action, and are okay with accepting that the person they want will never want them back as much as they want Jack or Kate. Sawyer knows Kate loves Jack deep down, but seems to hold out that one day she'll feel that way towards him. And Juliet has seen first hand how both Jack and Kate feel for one another (she completely called Kate out last season when they were hand cuffed, and she saw Jack suffer through the whole Skate debacle and how he has looked at her all of season 4), but is pursuing Jack anyways.

Jack has no reason to believe Kate returns his feelings, even though it is so obvious that she does (even if she doesn't know it). But part of me was disappointed that he kissed Juliet. Maybe it would have been easier to swallow if Juliet had kissed him. But still, she ultimately intiated the situation by confessing her feelings. There was a woman standing in front of him telling him what he's been dying to hear from Kate, and suddenly he just takes it. I guess I can't blame him. But would that kiss had happened if Juliet hadn't said anything? Was Jack acting on his own feelings or was he taken in by Juliet's?

But even though I'm disappointed that we still haven't actually talked about the ILY, and are gearing up for a season of Jacket, I can take comfort in knowing that our couple (who has only had one kiss while the other two couples have had more) is still the heart of the love triangle/square/pentagon. That speaks volumes to me.

And I don't care what Jack did or said to Juliet, his heart is still with Kate. He showed instant concern when he found her on the ground. The way he held her close and tenderly cared for her. I've never seen him care for Sawyer that way.

So if Juliet is comfortable playing second string for a man then fine, she and Sawyer can start their very own club. But when its all said and done, I'm going to get my Jate. And that's all there is to it!

Sorry for the novel of a post. I had so many thoughts, so if this post comes across as really confused and random that's why!! I think this was more me talking to myself, so thanks for sticking with it.

YEAH, he doesnt know that kate feels for him, so hes trying to move on.

and we know Jack is in love with Kate in the future, so it doesnt really matter whats going on with Juliet right now.

And actually, im not worried anyways. J/K havent gotten together yet, but theyve been hinted at since the pilot. They are a HUGE part of the triangle, no? Why would they be if they have only even kissed once? Hmmm, maybe because the writers are just WAITING AND WAITING AND WAITING to put them together. Its gonna be GREAT too!

Just saw the episode...

I love the Jate moments

I really liked when Jack just made her tell him why she stood with Locke. And again he was the only person she trusted. Carlie, I think you were the one that said that Jack was a little bit fed up with Kate... I noticed that too... maybe this new actitude will make her wake up once and for all!

and the whole Jacket kiss.... it really doesn't worry me at all. I think it was more of a "I'm gonna protect you" kiss and hug. It was sweet of Jack, because he saw how heartbroken Juliet was after revealing Ben thinks she's his. And I totally thought they were gonna show Kate in the end too

Anyone felt like Juliet was a little bit uncomfortable when they found Kate in a "I know I'm being the other woman again" type and that's because she ran away?

This whole Ben thing made me remember the commentary from "A Tale Of Two Cities" where Damon and Elizabeth were joking and they said "You don't want Jack to get a crush on you"... with the whole Ben thing they may wanna rethink the subject of that sentence

I think they've been leading up to revealing Ben and Juliet's relationship. Remember Mr. Friendly telling Jack that they have history.

But now that we have a lovely new triangle between these three I had the most incredible vision!!
