First off, if that were to happen we would have some awesome Jate scenes. Lots of hugs, lots of angst, lots of wonderful Jateness!  But I also wanted to point out that I don't think it would contribute to how destroyed Jack was in the FF. I think if he chose to kill someone in Kate's defense, he would be okay with that decision because it protected the woman he's in love with. The promo! The pics! The screencaps! Jate! TREK IN THE RAIN. Sweet Lord, this season is going to be amazing.  I'm already in love with it.  On the subject of the promo....It looks so cool! I don't think this is going to factor in on Jack's devastation. I personally believe that whatever has quenched Jack's person for now, it has to do with the debate of leaving the island. I don't know though. I just don't think him killing, injuring, whatever....doesn't have anything to do with his state in the FF.  But oh the JATE!! Dudes, they're everywhere. I think, by the looks of the promo, they'll meet up with the beach gang because if you notice by this cap: Juliet and Sayid are back with them.
