I NEVER HEARD THAT!!!!!!!!! oh my gosh, I'm freaking out. No lost until 2009? That's forever!!!!!! No Jate until 2009???? I can't even think about it!

We'll see what we do when we get there. I would hate to talk constanly about Jate knowing we won't get anything new till 2009 so I would rather not talk about it.

Concerning the strike, I really really really don't think ABC exec's are going to delay Lost until 2009. The fall, maybe. That would be suicide. However, I think they should air the 8 episodes they've got in the spring then air the rest in the fall. And then, wait until February and they can start their *sarcasm* brilliant plan *sarcasm* with the 16 eps. It wouldn't be any more work for the actors say they don't film the rest of THIS season till after the regular summer hiatus because 8 + 16 = 24.

It's a regular season.

See. I've got it all worked out. They should just call me.

I did talk to some of my friends who watch and we're going to write to ABC and ask them to air the 8 in the spring. REVOLT! Power to the people!

Granted, this is only if it doesn't get resolved within a month or so. Who knows? There is always a chance for it to blow over faster than we think. *crosses fingers*

Hey everyone!

Love the new thread title!

I'm totally with Diana on this one.

1) That's all speculation. Sure, Carlton said that, but right after it he said he doesn't make the decision.

2) Waiting that long is going to be suicide for the show. No question. Honestly, this schedule that they've decided to go with before the strike wasn't exactly good. People are already tired of the hiatus. To wait any longer would be the end of the show. No question.

3) For all we know the strike could be over tomorrow. Jorge said they'd still be filming to Thanksgiving. That gives us two weeks of new episodes being filmed, the strike could be over by then.

4) The fact of the matter is money. Would Steve McPherson choose to put a huge money-making show on hiatus for a year and a half knowing he could be making money off of it? I don't think so. Especially with the other shows off the air, Lost's viewership would be amazing. I just don't see ABC execs throwing money to the wind because of a strike.

On a better note, LOVE the banners.

I mean, as we both said, it would be suicide. The friends I said earlier were going to write letters said that if there was no Lost till 2009, she would not even watch. I'm afraid that it will be like that for alot of people. Which is why I think it'll never happen. They've HAVE to give us something. For their benefit as much as ours.
