| about something that’s really bothering me: has anyone seen the 3rd season box (most specifically the part where Evie, Josh and Carlton discuss about “I do”)? It’s very depressing, really. They say a lot of nice stuff about skate and skex..kinda like they wanted to imply that that was a very important moment on the show, where they gave in to the feelings they had for each other. I was like, wtf, it really didn’t seem like love to me. | Elite Fan | Young_Urban, there is a new podcast that just came out that seems very pro-Jate. I think with all that's happened in the finale we've gotten a really good vibe for S4 as well. Great idea Carlie! I'll have to actually think about my top ten but I'll elaborate on two that I know will be a part of mine... Kate tells Jack the count to five story: This scene though they were technically apart hit undoubtedly on why these two are the OTP of the show. Now, I've always thought that the writers had made it clear who it would be but after this scene how could anyone have any doubt? Back in the Pilot Jack shares something so personal with Kate, about his own failure and fear in order to help her. NO ONE else knows this story. It's exclusive to these two, and not only is it present throughout the series so far, it came back into play in a huge way during this scene. Kate remembers everything about the story, and the way she cries through it all, asking for Jack to tell her where he is, is just heartbreaking. Not only that but it is obviously a metaphor for everything they have been through. It was so REAL, you made a mistake, and you fixed her, you saved her. Kate forgot about the girl he originally was talking about long before that line. She was talking about herself. TTLG "Because I love you.": We've discussed this scene so much I feel like I'll say the same thing about it, but I'm going to say it anyway. I absolutely love this scene. S3 was nothing but a struggle for Jack and Kate all the way through. While Jack wasn't jealous, it was obvious he was hurt and in pain after the Kate/Sawyer thing. But instead of lashing out, instead of shutting Kate out (though he may have tried), all Jack decided to do was to finally freely let himself love her. He'll always be connected to her, and he realizes that. Even though he thinks he's not going to be with her romantically anymore he still wants to be there for her, to be her friend, because he loves her. He wants to protect her, and stand up for her. He loves her so much he's willing to let her go be with someone else because he thinks that's what will make her happy. That ILY had nothing selfish about it. It was just pure unconditional love on Jack's part. It was one of the most beautiful moments of the series in my opinion. It was a huge turning point for Jate and for Jack's character. | Erm, the DVD hasn't come out yet...so how is anyone commenting on the content?! I'm pretty sure whoever was talking about those comments were talking about the interview in Lost Magazine (which brings me to my point of WHY include commentary too?  Only good thing about it is we'll hear what they say about the Hydra and walkie scenes  )Anyway, I'm with Carlie...look at the sources. Evi has also said "Kate loves Sawyer but is not in love with him", Josh has also said "Sawyer is a fun weekend and Jack's a keeper" (for the second time) and Carlton has also said "Jack and Kate are kind of the ultimate relationship" (the skater in him had to throw that "kind of" in there huh?  ) and mind you all of these were after that interview. You wonder why Damon wasn't part of it. That's a good Jater, Damon!  Anyway, I think they gave that one moment to Skate and their fans, cause look at how the rest of the season went. They're a mess.
