Hmmm... I don't know. I wouldn't think it's out of character for Jack to be disappointed with Kate and rather not involve her in his current decisions. I don't like it, but she kinda brought it on herself.

I'm overactive when I'm excited

so when Lost is on I don't need much sleep...but when school starts I can sleep all day

I don't think she's the reason his plans didn't/won't work. Sometimes he did it to protect her, but I really don't see it being the case now, after she broke his trust by sleeping with Sawyer. Even if they're not together, what they had was way more meaningful than desperate cage sex and she shouldn't have destroyed it all with one rash decision. Now she's paying her debth, and I'm all right with that. Jack is sort of punishing her now IMO just by the fact he said he doesn't want to let her in just yet to Juliet.

And on to a brighter note - it's my 10,000 post!!! God, I never thought I'd get here
