Seriously..I think it's basically not possible for the general audience to not "root" for them.they might not care of course,but it's so clear that they love each other and that they're cursed by millions and millions of obstacles and misunderstandings that as Jay&Jack said once,I think the audience feels like jate is just one of those things that NEEDS to happen in this tv show.seeing them facing all of this and then finallt see them together one day is part of the story,like discover what Dharma is or where are the kids..etc..! when they get together, Jaters will SQUEEEEE like hell but everyone else(except skaters of course) will just scream "oh dear god it was about time! now that these two idiots have finally seen the light just stop with this damn romanttic crap and tell me what this friggin island is!"

I agree franci. It's so true. General audience is not blind, and they are not in denial, they just can see they they are in love with each other and they root for them.

I don't think anyone ever doubted Jack being in love with Kate. It's pretty goddamn obvious unlike some other people who are only in it for the sex...

everyone was always questioning Kate, and to be hoenst - so was I this season. But when you see their scenes together you can't question it.

hey, i've been a lurker here for some time so i thought i'd actually post - is it possible for me to be added to the list?!

no one doubts that he loves her but its just a case of when is he going to get over her sleeping with sawyer, and i think he'll have a hard time with it because he doesn't seem like the guy to settle for being 2nd best unless kate properly talks to him and tells him that he was always her first choice or something?
there is no way Kate is not in love with him!! i can't wait for these two to finally get together - it will be amazing!!
