Seriously, that is something about Ben that's perplexing yet so damn hilarious as well. He's a bad guy and is so well mannered. It's unheard of! But I love it.

I've never seen Michael in anything besides Lost. But my sister did tell me he was in Saw.

He was in Saw? Oh my...as scary as he is on Lost I can only imagine what he's like in Saw.

Yeah, the first installment. I won't watch it though. Even for Michael. Those kinds of movies aren't my thing. Lots of torture and gore. No thank you.

ITA. I can't watch those types of movie either.

Back to the title...I love that Ben is so polite when he tortures people. It's quite entertaining if a little unnerving.

It's very entertaining. Like in the finale when he asked Jack for his walkie and said 'please' and 'thank you.' I couldn't stop laughing.

Maybe he's trying to tone down the bad buy label.

Plus he's so clean and neatly dressed. It's hilarious.

And he's always introducing himself to new people. "Hi, I'm Benjamin Linus." Dude, you're a villain! Just kill them all!

But that's what makes him so refreshing and a pleasure to watch. TMBTC was awesome. The intrigue is still there even though we now know his story.

And I'm really interested to see how they're going to play the whole "Is Ben really the good guy?" That seems to be the question now that he's telling the survivors that they can't leave the island. Was he really telling the truth?

I agree about Ben's character. I think that's what makes him more believeable in a way. If he were the typical villian it would probably make the viewer go, "What is this?" The way he's presented is very interesting which makes the viewer look past that villian stereotype.

Agreed. He's not the archetype villain that's all sneer and one dimensional. Ben is a layered character and brilliantly written. ME does a superb job with him.

I believe him when he told Jack the people on the ship aren't rescue. I just wonder what will become of him next season. Things weren't look great for Ben.
