Haha no in the Jack episode discussion thread this week. People started to freak out because some were saying "negative" things about Jack and not someone else. I think we would all laugh if someone came in here telling us to stop bashing him!

Hahaha I sometimes wish there was an anti-Jack/Kate thread. I have plenty to say about that f-ed up "relationship"! But I know the 5000 Jaters would have a heart attack. The mods would have fun fun lol.

I wish we could have an anti-jate thread too!!!!! There is sooo much to make fun of... But I agree, Fan Forum in not the right place to do it. I swear, I never saw so many people this upset about fictional characters like in here

Now, about the negative things said about Jack... I can´t get how anyone can let that go... How can you watch this episode and NOT think about abusive Jack???

It´s crazy, it´s not anti-bashing, it´s censure. Because you can´t say ANTHING a jater will maybe find ofensive... and they find pretty much everything offensive, so you can´t say anything at all.
If you ask me, I can´t care less about what someone says about my ships... but well, I guess not everyone reacts the same way

That's very true. I mean if Sawyer has acted like a totally insensitive jerk in an ep, even as Skaters, we hold up our hands and admit it. We don't get all defensive (do we?

) and try to make lame excuses or disregard it because he's part of our Lost OTP.

There's no excuses for the way Jack acted in the last ep and I won't let anyone tell me otherwise.

That´s the point, they give so many excuses for Jack behavior. I want to see if they have a drunk, junkie, abusive person in their family, if they would do the same. And if they did, well, that´s a BIG problem.
Having a REALLy close experience with this kind of behavior, let me tell you. That´s not something you take. That´s something you run away from as fast as you can, before it´s already too late. Beeing the partner of someone like that can really ruin your life forever. Belive me!

I'm totally convinced that people are so caught up in the shock of Jack actually proposing to Kate in the FF, that they're totally disregarding his faults (and that's putting it LIGHTLY of course

) in the ep. People are so excited by Jate actually having happened at all, that they don't care whether or not Jack has treated either of his 2 love interests like crap.

I had been talking with some nice jaters in the episode discussion thread (we can try to be civilize sometimes

) and what they say is that Jack is not beeing himself in this episode. That the island is trying to get back the Oceaninc 6, and after Hurley, it´s Jack turn. He becomes crazy.
Even though I DO belive this theory is kind of true (the island is not happy they left) the reason why I think we disagree is because I don´t see his actions in this episode like out of character. I think he is TOTALLY beeing himself, in all his non-glory!

Which is completely true.. they want their "time" since we've had it so much (hmm, I wonder why? maybe because that's the way it is supposed to be
