The only thing I hate more than a Momma's boy (yeah, I'm looking at you Jacob!) is a boring episode of Lost.

Yeah episode was ok not great. The side effect to the light was truning into Smokey? So MIB isn't alive anymore, Smokey is an entity. If anything you can blame Jacob for Smokey being on the island.
Jacob sucks. I have always been an MIB fan and this episode just made me love him more. Jacob wasn't special, he couldn't see the dead people. He was just a pansy momma's boy. You could see from he was young that MIB used to question things. His mother was selfish and that's why he couldn't leave. __________________

I mean we did learn some things, but there are other questions that I think will be answered eventually.
We learnt (via someone on ABC lost board) 1. Jacob and the original MiB were twins. 2. They landed on the island, but were born there, like Aaron. 3. We know what Jacob was protecting -- the light and water. 4. We know how MiB became the smoke monster or how the smoke monster was released. 5. We know who MiB's crazy mother was. 6. We know who "Adam and Eve" were. 7. We know who built the "donkey wheel". __________________

mm well guess im the only one that liked it
o well  anyway the best part for me was seeing that even MIB isnt really MIB. Hes actually smokey apparently. He was duped just like smokey has been doing with everyone else on the island, by appearing as a dead loved one (MIBS mom) and then inspiring him to want to leave and question the island. I always loved MIB a bit more than Jacob maybe but now i love them each more but pretty equally now. Poor Jacob was second best and left alone on the island  And all MIB wanted was to leave. So now i definitely think Jacob wanted to die, just like how MIb stabbed his Mom to kill her and she said thanks. its almost like jacob wanted a bit to die when Ben killed him. I dont get smokeys goal tho. why does he want to leave the island so badly. I understand why MIB did but not smokey. And why does smokey have to follow the same rules as MIB did, with not killing Jacob. He wasnt MIB. Unless they kind of merged somehow cause flocke did say how he had a crazy mother. And why was MIB just "special" and just knew things. sooo confused gotta rewatch  __________________

I am more or less confused. I feel like I am not quite getting it all. Like I get it but I don't. But what a let down. That episode was pretty boring for all the hype.

The problem with that episode is that we didn't get anything we couldn't have come up on our own before seeing it. lol Yeah it showed how he changed in smokey but I'm more interested to know why he was changed and what the smoke monster is and not just some water+light that changes somebody to the dark light.
I don't know, the episode didn't really explain anything and made Jacob look lame. __________________

It's an epiosde you have to rewatch again, and I will. All the answers couldn't have been in this one episode, so I think answers to other questions will come.
MIB FTW!!! So in a way I blame Jacob for Smokey coming on the island. I guess the crazy lady was finally released of the burden of guarding that island. It probably isn't easy to be doing it for so long. MIB was the smart one and special to me, Jacob is just.... there. __________________
