MJ & Jason #1: Because she used to have a crush on him!
 

This is an appreciation post for the potential pairing between MJ Bevans and Jason Mathews, portrayed by Nikki Deloach and Kristoffer Polaha.

After seeing them tonight on the pilot, I think they have a very natural chemistry about them, and their relationship doesn't at all feel forced. They've been friends since they were kids as we've found out, and she had a crush on him when she was 5, LOL.

I really hope to see their relationship further explored at some point. Does anyone else agree?

2. Because she visited him out in Maui
3. Because he think she has bad taste in men
4. Because they have good chemistry
5. Because she had a crush on him when she was 5

Hey, Whitney! :wave: I definitely see the potential for MJ and Jason. They were really cute tonight. Nikki and Kris definitely have the chemistry to demonstrate that these two are close and watch out for eachother. MJ's just a little spitfire, which I love, and you can tell that Jason under his Gucci manager-man exterior is just a guy who loves a good wave.

I don't expect anything to happen immediately, but I love them as friends right now.

Yeah, they definitely seemed like the only couple I would give a damn about.

Yeah, I don't expect anything romantic to happen with them now, and I think she has a nice chemistry with "Chris". But I really just enjoyed all of their interactions, their chemistry and their history. I could not stomach Jason with Nicole, I wanted to smack her and him every time they were together. But I genuinely enjoyed Jason and I liked MJ as well, and I'd especially like to see these two explored at some point. Right now I'm content with the friendship.

I thought they had great chemistry, and probably the only couple as of now I could be interested in.

I loved their little scene where they were liking walking, hugging and she mentioned her 5-year old crush, and he joked about her running around naked. It was so cute, I definitely think they are the best thing about this show.

WHIT!! Hee, must we agree on *everything*?! I totally loved Jason/MJ. Actually the episode is only half over and I just got done with the scene where she tells Nicole (GAG) not to break his heart. Awwww.

Hehe. WE absolutely MUST, LOL. It's freaky, if you like something I usually do, and if I do you usually do. I can't remember if the "crush" scene is before or after her telling Nicole(yes I agree gag) not to break his heart. But it was definitely my favorite interaction. I do love how she just DOES NOT like Nicole, knows she's bad news.

You have to tell me what you think of the end look she gives them after Nicole messes with him in the last few minutes, LOL. She looks so protective it's sweet.

I liked them too. I thought they had great chemistry, but I also liked her chemistry with the other guy too. I would love to see them develop, but later on.

I have to say that I did see a nice chemistry between MJ and Jason. Nikki and Kris really do play off each other well.

I agree, I can wait for the to develop later on, I just hope that Jason isn't stuck with Nicole, because I find absolutely nothing appealing about them. I think Nikki and Kris had the best chemistry out of any of the actors. And at some point I hope this show takes advantage of that.
