| Summerland looks good for a second season....read here! Hey guys I figured I'd start a seperate topic for this so we can discuss what we think about it here rather then on the news thread. According to mediaweek.com they say: Last nights 7/6/04 ratings: Also in the Tuesday winner's circle despite losing some steam was the WB's Summerland, which continues to build by considerable proportions from a repeat of Gilmore Girls. Take a look: WB/Tuesday 8:00 p.m. Gilmore Girls (R) Overnights: 2.2/ 4 (#5), Viewers 2.18 million (#5), A18-49: 0.9/ 3 (#6) 9:00 p.m. Summerland Overnights: 3.2/ 5 (#4), Viewers: 3.17 million (#5), A18-49: 1.3/ 4 (#5) Percent Change: Overnights: +45, Viewers: +45, A18-49: +44 Chances are Summerland will be receiving a second season pick-up any day now. WOOOWOOOO I knew it'd getp icked up I'm glad the guy at media week is on our side What do you guys think ?__________________ Bella: "I'm not scared of you." | I'm so happy I hope it gets picked up for a second season. But I'm kind of worried once all the shows come back new in the fall. That will probably drop it's ratings. I would like to see it come back for a second season next summer. Then I can watch the new OTH in the fall and the new Summerland in the summer. I usually spend the summer complaining that all my shows are showing repeats and this way I'd have something to look foward to. But I don't know if I could wait that long to see Jay![]() __________________ it's always back to you | |||

| I knew it would get picked up! But like Erica said, I'm a little worried about when the fall shows start again. But who knows? | |||

| I posted this in the news thread but I'll bring here too: This isn't official by the WB yet, but Variety is always a good source. Variety is reporting that the WB, which had only ordered 13 episodes of Summerland, is now expected to pick up the other 9 to make it a full season and return the show next Spring! ![]() __________________ -Kelly | |||

| WB Adds More of Hot 'Summerland' Wed Jul 14, 2:37 AM ET Add Entertainment - Reuters TV to My Yahoo! By Nellie Andreeva LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - A summertime launch proved lucky for the WB Network's "Summerland." The network has decided to bring back Spelling TV's family drama as a midseason replacement, ordering 13 more episodes of the series starring Lori Loughlin. The pickup will be announced Wednesday during the WB's portion of the summer Television Critics Assn.'s press tour. "'Summerland's" performance is what earned its pickup and it will be a very important scheduling piece for us at midseason," said David Janollari, the network's recently appointed entertainment president. Loughlin plays a budding fashion entrepreneur whose life turns upside down when her sister and brother-in-law die in an accident and she is given custody of their three children. Following a solid two-hour premiere last month, the show has been a solid ratings performer for the network. In its target demo of female teens, "Summerland" has ranked No. 1 in its Tuesday time period in teens and No. 2 in women 12-34.
