In a way he defended her later on... like that one episode where she gets jealous of Amber and him working together and he basically told Nikki that she's a friend and that she has to accept that or something.

Yeah, I recall that... But that isn't anything bad, right? She IS his friend and yes, Nikki will have to accept that and trust Cam. He as well told really great things to Nikki. I think he loved both girls at that moment, Amber as a friend and Nikki as more than that.
