Welcome to the Merrin Dungey/Susannah Rexford Appreciation Thread  Merrin Dungey plays Susannah Rexford, Ava's best friend. She is also Ava's partner in their new business venture. Susanna handles the business decisions, while Ava is the creative force. They've learned to rely on one another and trust each other completely. Susannah is the person Ava always turns to when she needs advice. Although Susannah has no more experience with children than Ava, she never questions her friend's decision to give the kids a real home. When it comes to parenting decisions, Susannah's level-headed objectiveness is the perfect balance for Ava's more emotional viewpoint. She started at the age of four with ballet and danced all the way into her teens. She performed in piano recitals throughout her childhood and also competed as an ice skater. Aside from the occasional school musical, Merrin didn't really start acting until she was 18 years old and hosted a local teen talk show. That opportunity lead to several commercials, but she put everything on hold when she was accepted to UCLA. As a sophomore Merrin became the youngest person to ever win the UCLA School of Theater's top acting prize at their Annual Acting Awards ceremony. After graduation she continued to hone her skills, studying with Milton Katselas who helped her develop her one-woman show, "Black Like Who?," for the HBO Comedy Workspace. Due to the overwhelming success of that show, Merrin signed with the William Morris Agency. Facts - hometown is Sacramento, CA - born August 6 - written out of Malcolm in the Middle because ABC forbade FOX to keep her in the show - Merrin's character, Allison (A.K.A Francie) was killed off in the third season of Alias. I was looking on her twitter and it looks like she was in the UK. Maybe the whole family was there with her.

It's crazy too since her scene wasn't that big! I'm glad that she was the first character that Gold went to in NY!!

I was beyond happy that she was the first one that Gold went to in NYC as well
 She for sure will do a great job and I am really looking forward to it continuing. Do you know when the show will be back? In March, right?I'm curious to see more of hers and I'm wondering how she'll evolve. __________________

I have no idea when any of the shows start up again
but I'm interested in seeing her again! I remember we got stills of them back in storybrooks. On imdb she for sure has already filmed two episodes that are airing this year so hopefully she'll be filming more! __________________

I just had a look and OUAT will be back on March 1st.
So two more months to go. The Blacklist will be back February 1st I'm so super excited! I want it to be back like yesterday Revenge will be back on Sunday already (January 4th). That's awesome!!!!As far as I know she'll stick around for a longer time... ETA - I'm sorry, I just realized it was the wrong thread for all the start dates  __________________

I'm really wondering what she's doing in the UK?! I recall her doing a movie with Pierce and I'm wondering if it's premiered already. Maybe she's over there for promotion of the movie?
