I stayed up to watch, and then rewatch, then rewatched again lol

I stayed up till 5:30 to realise it wouldn't be up yet so I went to bed, woke up again at 7am, checked the Spashley board, went back to bed to be woken up again by my cat at 9am to go to bed again but not being able to resist to check the board and finally getting up cos I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep again.

And I told myself to go to bed early today but alas it's 4am once again.

Heh and oddly enough I wasn't thrilled with the premiere. I mean yes the girls were cute, but I could have cared less about the other storylines and the whole episode felt choppy. The dialog and scene cuts were just weird and it felt like they were cramming in three episodes worth of story into one episode.

I would have at least liked some conversation between the girls about where they stood in their relationship, are they together, are they just friends with benefits? Who knows?

Ashley pushing Spencer away and sleeping at Aidan's bothered me. The obvious set up of something between Ashley and Aidan bothered me. Ashley being an uber bitch to her sister who seems nice bothered me, I just never saw Ashley acting like that to be honest.

My biggest overall problem with the premiere was the script. I mean Gaby and Mandy have tons of chemistry and it's flowing all over the place, but that first scene between them fell so flat and the dialog was just very over the top and "epic" whereas that's not normally how they talk. The chemistry was there, but the words didn't back it up. I felt like this was just normal behavior for Ashley on a "morning after". Nothing seemed all that special about it when it obviously meant everything to Spencer.

I kinda got used to the eps being choppy and them cropping everything in one ep even though they could have put all those story lines in different eps.

I was also disappointed with the first scene, the morning after. And then Spence telling Ash she'll get better and Ash just changing the topic to her father was weird to me too.

I did like their banters though. And how Spence wanted to hold Ashley's hand in school.

Yeah the little things like that are nice.

This episode just reminded me alot of the episode from last season where they almost kissed and Spencer freaked out. The episode was just so odd and badly written, it felt like we'd missed scenes and that's what this one made me think of.

Yeah that's true. Mostly Spashley scenes but I guess it's cos we needed to see all the drama that will lead to the main stories in season two.

Yeah. I hope it's just one episode like it was last season, everything else was pretty well done, I'm hoping it's like that instead of a whole season full of it.

I really did like how Spencer confided in Clay about that guy filming her kiss Ashley. He only cared about Paula being mad, not about her kissing Ash.
