Ossie Davis RIP
1917-2005
Ossie was known for many things, but of course to us the L-aholics was known his role as Melvin Porter, Bette and Kit's father who made an appearance in an episode during Season 1, Lawfully. __________________

I read about this on Yahoo News this morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
Geez, talk about life imitating the media here. I'm glad that he got to finish some TLW episodes for Season Two before he passed on though. I bet they'll dedicate an episode to him or something. __________________

It's going to be odd seeing the episodes he filmed for Season Two, but I'm glad he got to do some work before his time came.

I made sure to use one of his scenes from Season 1 for tonight's What The L as a tribute.

Aww I grew up watching Ossie Davis and his wife Ruby Dee in so many rolls. He had a special gift! Ossie, you will be missed!
