ok so that promo for 7x02 made it very clear that this won't be like S5...no passive nathan this season! he seems very happy to show his *dislike* for slutty mcslutterson and her accusations. now if we could only see what's in that folder...lol

Even if Nathan and Clay are shown being stupid in flashbacks in 707, does that negate everything else?

We know Nathan didn't do what he's accused of, we know he admits he made a mistake, lapse of judgement, whatever. He admits the pictures look bad. There are five episodes of him fighting his ass off to prove this woman is trying to ruin his life with accusations that aren't true.

So let's assume for a second that Nathan put himself in a bad position, and Clay encouraged it. Does that really change anything considering what we'll have already seen in the previous episodes, and what we're likely to see in the subsequent episodes?

In many respects it's like Psycho Derek saying that Peyton was to blame for what he did to her. It's like a rape victim being blamed because they behaved provocatively. Nathan still wouldn't be to blame for Renee taking what was ultimately an innocent picture, and twisting it into something else. No matter how bad the picture may or may not look, it still doesn't show what she's claiming it does.

It's not Season 5, even if Mark can't help himself and does something briefly annoying.

I do hope it's not a repeat of S5. Nathan may do something unintentionally that will look stupid, but it depends on how bad it is that we can say "He acted stupid. He should have seen this coming" or "He didn't do anything wrong at all, other than being nice to a fan"

I guess Miranda is telling Haley she has to do what the bigwigs say. Miranda's citing a clause in the contract that says they can acquire the label (presumably RBR) whenever they like. Why would you ever sign a contract that gives them carte blanche to take over...
