I think there were times in Season 2 and 3 (mainly the former) where it was pretty clear that due to the Naley and Brucas storylines going on at the time, the writers had no idea what to do with Peyton. The Peter stuff came off that way too.

Jeyton playing house stuff was pretty boring, but the Ellie storyline in S3 and the Real Derek stuff in S4 was interesting to see imo.

I like it, but not that much.. Bec I felt like he never want to know her since he already have his life set plus he was in military or something like that.. Plus not everyone want to know their birth family..
