I absolutely loved the first Nathan/Clay scene. Shirtless jog on the beach Nothing better.

Aside from the stupid storyline, I actually liked the episode as a whole.

Tiny NH scene at the end and no NJ stunk. But I think they will work it out. Next preview seems that way.

Another decent episode, especially since Haley continues to have a storyline for once.

I have to say, I'm loving all of the outdoor scenes, from the pool, beach, etc. The natural lighting looks great on all of the characters and gives the setting a more fresh vibe.

Poor Nathan. James was incredible, especially the car scene. He completely blew me away with the subtle touches he used from the shaking, fist clenching... I felt for him. His silence when he saw the sonogram spoke volumes. I didn't take it as a sign of doubt or anything, but one of utmost shock at the lengths this woman is going to ruin him. Sigh, I cannot wait for this storyline to be over. And love Clay! He may be Nathan's sport agent, but he's also Nathan's friend. He seems genuinely concern for Nathan.

When I was approaching the end of the episode, I thought I would be completely bummed over the lack of NH scenes, but I wasn't, much. This episode had both Haley and Nathan with separate storyline arcs, and it really made me realize how much I love both N and H separately and together. Although short, they nailed the last scene with both of them coming full circle with their own arcs. It just tugged at my heartstrings, and I was sort of glad that the show ended before Nathan told her. I don't think I could have taken it. LOL. And I love that Nathan tells Haley right away about it. Shows how far they've come. <3

I won't even say anything about Dan/Rachel. Reading about it was one thing, but seeing it? No, no, no.

I know not everyone is going to be happy that Nathan and Clay were really drunk, but Nathan's response to Clay saying they were wasted says all I need to hear, both in words and tone.

He said "Yeah, so?"

That, to me, is saying it really doesn't matter that he was drunk. Not only does he know he didn't do what he's being accused him of, but that nothing happened period. Being drunk made no difference as far as he's concerned.

i agree with you, he realizes it doesn't matter what state your in and that being drunk is not an excuse.

I just have to say that THANK THE LORD, Nathan told Haley about this chic ASAP instead of waiting for the entire situation to blow up in his face. It looks like he finally learned his lesson after the psycHO incident of 2007. B/c of his honesty with Haley and the fact that he has people fully in his corner, I'm not minding this third party storyline so much. I could do without it, but at least I don't hate it. After S6, and my complete lack of interest in OTH that the season left me with, I seriously doubted S7 potential to regain my interest, but so far it's left me pleasantly surprised. I find that I can now watch almost every scene and enjoy every relationship without feeling the need to fast forward. The characters of Clay and Quinn are great additions to the show and I can't wait to see Nathan's relationships with them develop further and see Naley whether this storm together.

Poor Nathan and Haley having to deal with some chick whoring herself at Nate in every season starting from S4, minus S6. James' performance was amazing. He is doing great job portraying Natha, and making you feel his innocence, pain and frustration. I can't wait till they take this bitch down.

The only thing that will screw this storyline up if, in any sort of way, they tried to make Nathan and/or Clay look stupid and have them do anything OOC during the party. Such storylines are the writers fave, and they tend to make use of Nate, and live some weird, sick fantasy through him and having a girl make out with him or touch him..etc. So whatever they do, they must not screw Nathan or Clay's characters.

I'm also so glad about Nathan telling Haley everything right away, and from the promo, they seem to be discussing everything together. That's something different, I'm sure I'll enjoy watching; NH dealing with this together, as one unit.

The writers would be suffering extreme memory problems if they did try something like that. Nathan has no recollection of this woman: doesn't know her, doesn't know why she's doing what she's doing, and until Clay told him, he had no idea where he'd met her before. He knows he didn't sleep with her or anything else. He's shrugging off being "wasted" as a non-issue that wouldn't have made a difference.

Making any of it true, however slight, would not only be a disservice to Nathan and Clay as characters, but to Nathan's understanding OF his own character. He's insistent he knows he didn't do anything. They can't turn that on its head on a whim.

The writers would have to be suffering dementia if they even tried it.

Oh, something I didn't like? Clay's little jab about Nathan getting thrown through a window.

Once again, the things Nathan has done can be continually thrown in his face.
