It’s just so hard when many of the elderly people in my parents fellowship don’t know how to use the computer and they don’t understand English and can’t read English so they can’t make an appointment and the mass vaccination site doesn’t release appointments at the same time every day so you have to keep checking

That’s not even how our state does it, just our city because Walgreens and CVS don’t have it, you have to go through your doctor to get it but only the big hospitals have the vaccine right now, like the small and private practice doctors don’t have it yet

I think that is the same most places, smaller places don't have them. Our convention center is where you need to go to get it. My friend had an appointment, and it still took 2 hours.

I think so too, but the mass vaccination site doesn’t vaccinate anyone other than people 65 and older, so even though the city says essential workers can be vaccinated they won’t do it

Yeah it’s so confusing, because there’s no set way of getting vaccinations to people that need it I’m hoping it will go smoother once vaccinations become more available or once more vaccinations get approved

I see people are complaining about it up here, but I tried the website and it was so easy.

Yours seems so much easier then the way our city is doing it, which is basically try to get a mass vaccination appointment or call your PCP

ETA: Well this is a new one, apparently our city is suing our school district for violating a law that said the school district had to come up with a plan to get students into school for in person learning whenever it’s possible I don’t blame them considering the school board seems to have other priorities like renaming schools

Don't teachers need to be vaccinated first?

Yes, I think they can get vaccinated now but only thorough their PCP, at least according to what it says on the city website on when people can get vaccinated

But they have to wait a month for the second then 2 more weeks to really be fully vaccinated.

So what are they asking the city to do?

Also, sounds like our pharmacies are getting the vaccine up here as well to help speed up the process.

I think they just want the school board to make some kind of progress towards reopening, because it honestly sounds like from their meetings that it’s barely a priority, they have like 8-9 hour meetings and the most they talk about reopening during those meetings is 5-10 minutes

I am glad we are on process to open in a few months. Or rather a month or so...
