Looks like one school district near us decided to do distance learning for up to four weeks, then if it’s safe they will move to in person learning

So after 4 weeks they think that they can do full time in school?

That makes no sense. Especially since most things are cancelled through October.

They said it’s because they need to train their staff more on safety

Our zoo is being able to reopen on Wednesday no other museums or businesses though, but at least the zoo lets kids get outside for a little bit

I can't imagine how hard it will be for kids at school and away this year.

And yay for the zoo opening.

I can’t either, that school district also gave the option for families to be able to do distance learning if they want to after schools reopen for in-person classes, which I feel a lot of school districts might be doing for parents that don’t want to send their kids to school yet

I’m excited, although everything Hope and Benjamin like doing when they come to the zoo will be closed

What is closed at the zoo?

All the indoor exhibits, the train, the playground, the carousel and the petting zoo

Same as ours. My kids care mostly about the flamingos though.

Hope cares about the playground, Benny likes the carousel and train but he is also really into the animals so I think he’ll be okay just looking at the animals but Hope doesn’t really care about the animals

Cathy looks like our school district is recommending distance learning at first too, they said in person hybrid once it’s safe but for at least the first few weeks we are doing full distance learning

I feel like all kids will not learn nearly as much this year. It sucks.
