| The O.C. Season 4 Discussion Thread The premiere for the 4th season is on Thursday. I'm opening this thread for us to discuss Rachel/Summer in S4 rather than opening individual threads for each episodes. Here's the episode description for the premiere, The Avengers LIFE GOES ON ON THE SEASON FOUR PREMIERE OF “THE O.C.” THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2, ON FOX Chris Pratt Guest-Stars When THE O.C. returns for its fourth season, the gang is adjusting to life without Marissa Cooper. Summer is attending Brown University in Rhode Island, where she has reinvented herself as a left-leaning, tree-hugging activist under the sway of Che (guest-star Chris Pratt). Ryan has moved out of the Cohen house and is dealing with Marissa’s death in the only way he knows how, and when he misses a special dinner at the Cohens’, Seth finds him on the wrong side of the tracks and calls Summer for help. Meanwhile, Julie Cooper will do anything – even yard work – to avoid dealing with Marissa’s death, and Kaitlin earns a new pair of boots from Dr. Roberts in true Cooper fashion. And Taylor hides out in the diner so no one will know she is not in Paris in “The Avengers” episode of THE O.C Thursday, Nov. 2 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. | I really like the direction the new season is going in. I can't wait to see more of Summer coping with Marissa's death. It's obvious that she hasn't moved on at all, even if she has moved away from it all. | |||
