Rachel Bilson - Do you like the change from bitchy to sweet?

Summer has changed alot since her first debut in The Pilot. She was the bitch who didn't care. Now she is the sweet innocent lovable girl.

Do you like the change? Do you think they should bring back more of old Summer and mix it with the new Summer?

I feel like this is what they did. Summer still has her bitchy moments, but she's also got her sweet moments. I love that about her.

i think it would be great if they brought that part back! i think her character should be a mix of the two.

I think Summer has always had her soft side, it just took Seth to bring it out,, she is still bitchy and spunky, she's just in love [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Don't get me wrong, I love Summer,always did but lately she is too much of the sweet girl and no longer bitchy.
Okay so Seth is her boyfriend and to get them together and make her more appealing to the viewers they had to make her much nicer so that people would root for Summer/Seth and don't go all "She's a bitch who is too good for Seth". I got that but could they please turn back to the first 5 episodes Summer.

The only way she ever acts bitchy these days is with Anna and well Anna is leaving and what happens then???
Well Summer turn to the next All-American Girl that everybody just loves,please spare me.

You know maybe its a fault of the whole writing of the last episodes-everyone is just too nice these days-why should she be bitchy. I still love her and I like the vulnerable side of her which was covered by the whole bitchy act but still-I need new people in Newport so Summer can be bitchy/sweet and vulnerable [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Just don't make her go all Happy and I'll accept whatever Josh gives me to eat-I'd trust Josh Schwartz my life so he will know how Summer can keep her edges [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I love bitchy Summer just as much as I love nice Summer. Bitchy Summer makes me laugh and nice Summer breaks my heart

I totally agree with you. Summer still has the bitch blood in her, example 'The Heartbreak' to Seth. But she also knows how to show her sweetness and when to show it.

I love both the bitchy and sweet sides to Summer's personality. I definitely do not want to see her become a cookie-cutter sweetheart. She's probably one of the few characters who can act totally bitchy and spoiled and have people love her for it.

I think Summer still has her edge. We caught a glimpse of it during the first scene with Seth in 'The Heartbreak.' Hopefully we'll see it throughout the rest of the season too.

Thats what she is [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Summer is such a sweetheart but she's still got the edge and thats awesome [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img] She is the only character who can pull that off. Summer Roberts is my all time hero hahaha [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Also one other thing. With Sum's bitchiness, it's not like pure evil nasty bitch (if that made sence lol) It's funny, quirky, cute bitchiness!!

I totally agree. I just think that she has never had anyone she has felt comfortable letting her sweet side out with (except maybe Marissa). I like the mixture of bitchy and sweet, and I hope that they keep it up. Too much either way is just the wrong way to go.

I love bitchy, snarky summer, and I love the sweet side of her too. I love that Seth brought out that side of her, but I never want the snarky side to go away. I love the "ew" girl.

I want a mix of both, definately.

I knew when I first saw Summer in the Pilot they were going to make her the good, sweet girl by mid-season. Right now they are going a bit far with it though. No one can change their personality that drastically in a small amount of time. I'd love to see a bit more of Bitchy!Summer come out in the future.

I like both sides. The fact that she is bitchy and yet sweet is what makes her an appealing three-dimensional character.

I think lately we've seen more of the sweet side because Summer was trying to get Seth, and they also wanted more people to like Summer and Seth. Hopefully, now that she has him, a little bit more bitchiness will shine through. Lately she's still edgy and all that good stuff, but we haven't seen her be a real bitch.

The pilot just aired here in the U.K. and my friends texted me saying: "that is the girl you adore?she's a bitch!" [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Honestly, I loved her from the first moment. Today I couldnt avoid a laugh when she said: "Chino?Eeew!". I definitely miss bitchy Summer. And drunk Summer too.Heh.
I think she will have many opportunities to be bitchy, especially when protecting the people she likes (Marissa,Seth...).And when her and Seth break up!(it will happen eventually!).
Something interesting in the pilot, quite out of character to the Summer we know today, was the fact that she left an unconscious Marissa at the Cooper's door. Since then, there has been a clear effort to show Summer as a great best friend. And I also enjoy that. In fact, I enjoy ANY Summer that they throw at me. Rachel is THAT good. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]
