My DVD player is Region 3 though I don't have a VHS player I can probably borrow my cousin's VHS.

I'll make a copy of a tape I have since I remembered DVDs are protected but thank God for tapes! I'll send the copy and hope it plays!

I hope it plays because R3 is Secam or Pal isn't it??? R1 is NTSC.

abby-anne, you're in the Philippines, aren't you? Coz I found a site that lists what countries use the different VHS formats, and that site says that the Philippines uses NTSC, in which case, a vid from ROCKSTAR should work fine for you.

I could but every time I try it on a DVD player it says the disc is "copyright" protected and it won't record.

Is there a way a computer could do it even so? Because if Abby's DVD player doesn't play R1 I could try to record it on tape from a non copyrighted disc.

A computer can do it but the thing is, she still can't read any R1 disc. Our discs are RI unless they condense it into a AVI file that can be read universally. BUt it's complicated.
