I won't tell you what happened though. But you know, since Denny died, Izzie kind of went downhill. I never liked Meh/Derek so I really can't comment on them. Though I am so enjoying Addison and Alex.

Those two characters are great right now.

I heard Kate Walsh is going to be on a spin off of Grey's as Addison.

This weekend was the first time the weather has been absolutely gorgeous!!! I rode outside all over the place. In the sand ring, in the grass ring and out in the forest!!!! Man, it was a great time!

I did go to a bridal shower over the weekend for someone I didn't even know really. Well, she's marrying my cousin but I doubt she knows my name. And in answering those silly questionaires about how well you knew the bride, I knew nothing....I guessed at everything!

I know this is a bit off topic even for an off topic thread, but I just had to express my schock after discovering that the LotR board is closed. It's like the end of an era! I kind of feel guilty because I haven't been posting for almost a year now. FanForum sure isn't the same without it...

Miss Magic - We're as shocked as you are but no one was posting on the board and Mandy and I were having trouble getting the older FFers to start posting again and bringing the board back to life. It's so different without it.

However, alot of boards seems to be dying and we are trying to save this one.

I mean, we can still discuss LOTR stuff on this board, I absolutely don't mind at all!

I think many in a way expected the LotR board to always be there, even though few actually posted, which is really sad. You should never take things for granted.
It's really sad to see that so many good boards are dying. But I'm glad that this one is still around though. Great place to be when the good old LotR fandom kicks in

True, but this board itself is struggling to keep along, not long ago, it was due to close as well but some good fans here have kept it going. However, we missed our post counts twice in a row so if we keep doing that, this board will shut down. So I'm hoping it won't because I don't want to let the LOTR fandom die!

The mass fandom of LotR was bound to fade since the hype after the trilogy calmed down. But I'm very surprised to see that so many hardcore fans stopped posting. I guess it's partly because of all the spin-off boards for the actors.
People left the main LotR board to continue their fandom on the different actor boards instead. I really hope that this board stays alive though.

Let me know if you get it added to the requests. I'd love to see the board brought back to life. We sure need it.

It's funny though, the new Toilken book was just released and it doesn't even seem to hype up the LOTR fans. It's hard to have a movie board for a specific movie, especially when the hype dies and sometimes the fans don't even follow the actors anymore, depends on how devoted they are. I'm surprised at myself for following Viggo for so long.

I think the request board for LOTR request would look better when the Hobbit begins filming.

you're right about izzie going downhill after denny died but i can't believe she'd sleep with george cos he's married &

callie. if izzie wanted to sleep with someone she should've picked alex instead.

i also enjoy the chemistry between addison & alex too. i think the spin off was shown tonight in the US. the cast is great...taye diggs, tim daly, amy brenneman, merrin dungey, paul adelstein. i found some promo pics:
