It was heartbreaking to see her...and I knew it was time to say goodbye. But I had prepared myself mentally knowing that it could end this way. There was very small chance of her actually surviving it all despite treatment. But she was willing to fight so we let her.

Oh because the books were so dark and then the epilogue was like a piece of fanfiction you would find written by a fan!

It is difficult. She was a brave soldier. I only wish that she's up there running around with no problems with her legs!!!!

Weekend plans? Well, it's Caribana weekend here which is a celebration of the West Indies (like Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago). My parents are in the big parade (usually I am too but I got something going on in the morning so I can't) and I am going to watch when I get some time. They will be on the parade route from 9 am till 3 pm so I can catch them along the way as long as I know which order they are going in.

And I hope to do some cleaning this weekend!!! LOL! How about you?

i'm sure soldier is happy and healthy in horse heaven right now.

sounds like a fun weekend.

i'm having dinner tonight with some of my teammates at work. we might go drinking at a club afterwards. tomorrow, i'm going to the mall and sunday mass with my sister.

There is a storm happening where you are? I heard in India and some other place but didn't realize your area was hit as well. Is there much flooding where you are?

ya, a typhoon passed by us last tuesday and brought rains for about 2 days. it's gone now so we're okay. but it did bring lots of floods. we did need the rain to come cos our water dams have reached below critical level because of the extended dry spell. so the storm was a boon as well as a curse.

Yep, like Teena had mentioned, it had its pros and cons.

There are some provinces here that are still in the state of calamity.

But we're fine here in Manila though.
