Here is their story...

"When Chris first moved to Philadelphia next door to Meg's family, and started attending East Catholic HS, which was now co-ed, little did either of them know of the impact they'd have on each other's lives.

Chris, at first glance, seemed very aloof, uncaring and disinterested about everything and initially, Meg didn't seem to like him all that much, she thought he was a rude and insensitive jerk, but despite her first impression, you sensed that she was attracted to him and definitely intrigued because he showed her, on several occasions, that he was capable of being sweet, caring and compassionate. Whereas, Chris thought her to be an uptight, serious, studious, prim and proper, typical private school girl. But she showed him that she had spunk and had definite opinions about things and was willing to bend the rules to do what she thought was right. One of those being, protesting the war in Vietnam, in which her older brother JJ was fighting.

Meg was asked to direct the school play- Shakespeare's Henry V -and decided to give it a modern twist, having it take place in the present. She solicited Chris' and his friends' help in its production but they refused. However, after covering for Chris, who failed to do a school assignment, by telling the teacher that he was rehearsing for the play, he was forced to participate in it. He absolutely mesmerized everyone, including Meg, with his performance as Henry. On the night of the play, they defied their headmaster's warnings of keeping the play in its original and traditional version, by going ahead with their own more contemporary theme.

The play and Meg's influence really gave Chris a purpose in life, he found something worth fighting for, something to believe in and to care about. He became committed and heavily involved in the anti-war movement. This shared interest and passion for the cause cemented and strengthened their relationship. Their initial attraction to each other quickly grew into something more and they found themselves falling in love.

One night, when Meg was upset after she and her family found out her brother was MIA in Vietnam, Chris took her to a rooftop of one of the city's buildings in order to watch a meteor shower, for the simple reason to try and make her feel better about things and to give her hope. Letting her know that if you really believe in something that anything is possible and could happen. This scene is where the thread name- "Stargazers" - comes from, because it embodies who and what they are- two people looking to the future, being open to its endless possibilities and the world that is just waiting for them to be explored and the hope that goes with it."
