Episode 3.14 - A Clear And Present Danger
Months after explosions brought down Pinehearst and Primatech, our Heroes try to put the past behind them and begin new lives. Now powerless, Hiro (Masi Oka) tries to train a reluctant Ando (James Kyson Lee) to be a true superhero. Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) returns to life as a taxi driver, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) is back to saving lives, and Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) and Matt (Greg Grunberg) try to live as a normal couple. Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) attempt to live a regular life is cut short when she uncovers a deadly plot orchestrated by Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) to track down and capture those with abilities. Meanwhile, Sylar (Zachary Quinto) begins the search for his real parents.

Episode 3.15 - Trust and Blood
Following a chain of unexpected events, our Heroes are on the run from their latest adversary and one of their own, Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar). After Matt (Greg Grunberg) paints a series of prophetic images, the tragic fate of someone close to him is revealed. Elsewhere, Sylar (Zachary Quinto) continues his search for his father and encounters a young outcast (guest star Dan Byrd) with information and an ability of his own. Jack Coleman, Ali Larter, James Kyson Lee, Masi Oka, Hayden Panettiere, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Cristine Rose and Milo Ventimiglia also star. Ashley Crow and Ntare Mwine also guest star.

Episode 3.16 - Building 26
Nathan’s (Adrian Pasdar) plans face exposure as Homeland Security begins an investigation under direct orders from the President of the United States. Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and Luke (guest Dan Byrd) embark on a road trip to find Sylar’s father, but are secretly being hunted by Nathan’s agents. Life gets complicated for the Bennet family as Claire (Hayden Panettiere) goes into action to protect a young man with abilities (guest star Justin Baldoni) from being captured by HRG (Jack Coleman). Elsewhere, Matt’s (Greg Grunberg) prophetic images lead Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) to India and a mysterious ally comes to the aid of our Heroes. Ali Larter, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Milo Ventimiglia also star. Ashley Crow, Randall Bentley and Amrapali Ambegaokar also guest star.

HEAD GAMES ENSUE AS MATT EXTRACTS THE TRUTH FROM HRG -- EMMY AWARD WINNER ZELJKO IVANEK AND BREA GRANT GUEST-STAR -- While being held hostage, HRG (Jack Coleman) is subjected to Matt Parkman’s (Greg Grunberg) unique brand of interrogation, revealing how he became involved with Nathan’s (Adrian Pasdar) government plot to capture those with abilities. Meanwhile, Matt’s discoveries bring Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) face-to-face with “The Hunter” (guest star Zeljko Ivanek). Sendhil Ramamurthy and Cristine Rose also star. Ashley Crow also guest stars.

Episode 3.18 - Exposed
After receiving a tip from “Rebel,” Matt (Greg Grunberg) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) race to “Building 26” to rescue Daphne and recover files that will expose the government’s plans for those with abilities. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) finds help from an unlikely source in smuggling Alex (guest star Justin Baldoni) out of the city. As Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and Luke (guest star Dan Byrd) continue their road trip, Sylar begins to have memories of his father that lead him to the truth about his mother. Episode 3.19 - Shades of Gray
When Sylar comes face-to-face with his long lost father (guest star John Glover), the reunion proves to be what he least expected. Elsewhere, after receiving a tip from "Rebel," Claire must decide if she will help her sworn enemy, Eric Doyle (guest star David Lawrence XVII), evade capture. Meanwhile, as "The Hunter" (guest star Zeljko Ivanek) plans to uncover the Petrelli family's secrets and take control of Nathan's operation, Matt finds himself in the spotlight and on the verge of leveling Capitol Hill. Episode 3x14 - A Clear and Present Danger

Three weeks after the destruction of both the Primatech and Pinehearst, and the death of Arthur Petrelli, the now-villainous Nathan returns with a vengeance by persuading the U.S. President and the government to round up all people with abilities, leading to Claire, Ando, Hiro, Matt, Peter, as well as Tracy to become fugitives from the people who were their former allies.

I'm starting to think that it is Nikki who is adopted. If you go back to the picture that they showed in season 2 of the first generation all the main characters with powers are linked to someone Peter/Nathan their parents, claire her grandparents. Matt and Hiro their dad, but Nikki there is no one, and I do remember reading that Nikki and Adam were going to be related and since he's been around for thousands of years he could be her father, and then she could have some of his immortal gene which could be how she survived the fire.

Yeah I put way too much though into it.

No, it's a good train of thought! You're right, no-one really knows if Nikki's powers decended from someone else - and in one of the graphic novels it did say that 'Sanders,' was one of his alias'. And I believe one of the writers later confirmed that they are related. But as his name was 'Sanders,' it maybe more likely that he's her grandfather or something.

It does seem a bit contrived. I just hope the adopted plotline (for whichever character) is for a good reason, and not just for the sake of creating a surprise plot twist, because it could change a lot of things. I do have faith in Tim Kring to make things right though.

I think it's either Nathan or Sylar... don't know why. They might seperate the Petrelli brothers.. or they might get a new brother... Sylar and Peter being siblings might explain their similar powers... Sorry, I'm rambling.
