This thread is to discuss and support the relationship between Richard Thorne and Natalie Dykstra. The Bedford Diaries started with many different romantic links being formed, but there was one relationship which was already well established. The intensity between these characters and the hints to their complex past is one of the most interesting storylines on the show...atleast we think so!

Why we love them:

Because being with her was the last time he felt anything.
Because the history is evident.
Because the looks say it all.
Because she's the only one who calls him Rick.

Because their relationship was intense
Because he looked out for her at Owen's party.
Because he told Owen she has a good heart
Because he blames himself for her jumping.

Because she would've wanted to talk to him.
Because he was scared to call her.
Because they don't mind the silence.
Because he called her from the roof.
Because he wanted to know if they were okay.

Because even Katrina noticed them.
Because she wasn't just a girlfriend, she was "or something"

Because "Does it matter?" means "Yes I was in love with him"

Because in her old definition of love she was in love with him, she just hasn't figured out she is in her new one too.

okay yes, i realise there are only a couple more weeks of TBD and this thread is probably going to be short lived, but I cant help it, I love RN now too much. They are providing me with much needed happiness while I am depressed over lame exams. Hehe.

This is the thread for inmense squeeing and excitement to be displayed over these two!

Aww i knew this thread would happen soon or later...I like these two together and i wish the show would go on longer so maybe we could see actual see them together...the whole 1st post is really cute and really but together!!!

You can add me to the list- I definately love their scenes together!. I really like the friendship they have. Despite the past, they still seem to genuinely care for each other. And they have great chemistry, they really connect, and their scenes always make me want to see more with them

Aww, these two are just so cute. I really hope we get a lot more of them in the few eps we have left. At first i wasn't sure about these two, i liked them but i was still unsure whether i shipped them, cause i only really liked Milo on the show and wasn't very impressed with the other cast members acting. But now that we've seen more eps, i really think Corri is doing a great job. She is able to show how she has all this emotion inside of her, yet she can be fun and bring life to her character. They have great chemistry

glad you guys liked the thread, i figured if im going to start the thread im going to start it all pretty!! Hehe. And thank you Nida for the wonderful banner.

I started shipping these two after "the phone scene". I was intrigued with them as soon as I realised Natalie was the one Richard was talking about in his video diary in the Pilot, but I needed another episode to see whether the chemistry was there, and that scene just spoke to me. We already know Milo is an amazing actor but Corri did a wonderful job too, and their chemistry really works. I don't feel that chemistry with any of the other couples.

I'm praying that this week is the "I think im in love with you" and hopefully its directed at Natalie. I wonder what will happen to get Richard knocking on Natalie's door (late at night i presume it is?). And IF it isn't Natalie that Richard is talking to then what makes Natalie consider giving Richard another chance?

On a side note I really love how Natalie is the only one who calls him Rick. Its so personal and a little sign about their past. Hehe.

I really love the idea of these two together.

At first, they didn't really have all that much interaction but it was obvious they had a history, which was interesting but it's not until the phone scene that you really felt they had this intriguing connection. Her relationship with Owen is cute but rather more of a physical, fun and games type of thing but nothing that I feel is serious or deep. I feel that with Rick she has to feel and question things more on an emotional level, there's a spark there that she just doesn't have with Owen.

Rick/Natalie have all kinds of possibilities. And what I like is that with everything they both were going through, they've remained friends which I think is really sweet. I also hope that whatever pushes Rick to seek out Natalie at her place leads to an emotional re-connection and that they decide to give each other another chance.

Im glad you liked the opening post. I went a little crazy and rewatched all the RN scenes and transcribed them for the quotes. Hehe.

I too hope we get a reconnection after he seeks her out. Tese two have an emotional connectionn which i havent felt with anyone else and it would be a shame to waste it. Im scared to like them too much because I know there's only three more eps left, but i cant help it!

I can't wait to see what happens with them in the next few eps (since that's all we have). I agree, that Nat/Owen are more fun and games where as Nat/Rick have a deeper connection. I think that their break up wasn't really becuase they wanted to break up but becuase their issues got in the way. If they try again, i'm sure they will make it work

my understanding is that they DIDN'T actually break up, Natalie just jumped, and after that Rick didn't call her. Because we know they slept together the night before she jumped, and since they were together, i'm assuming they were still together that night.

I think after she jumped Rick withdrew from her, we know he didn't call and he probably avoided. He didn't understand why she jumped and we know he blamed himself. I think Natalie jumped for reasons that were completely her own and not much to do with Rick at all, and maybe having Rick there would have helped...like she said, she would have wanted to talk to him.

So from that its like their relationship just ended suddenly with no closure, so the feelings about each other didn't really go away, they were just avoided.

that's true, so technically they didn't even have a break up. It's just a matter of time until they realise they want to be together. And plus, having them do these video projects every week is really making them refelect on the past and future, and hopefully making them realise that they are still in love

I think the video diaries are adventually going to make him knock on her door. He is reflecting on his feelings and realizing what is still there.
