I don't get the whole looting and property damage it's not okay. It doesn't honor George floyd. We had some looters here and we were on 8 o cloack curfew

I know the media ends up talking about the looting then the actual cause.

I know they need to report so the public knows and can avoid areas, it’s more the ones doing the looting that are taking away from the cause.

I think this is actually now worse than the LA riots.

I am in North Carolina. I didn't have anything in my neighborhood but in Greensboro 28 minutes from me we had some broken windows including our African American museum. I also have family in the sf area. It's sad because I was watching one of the newer episodes of fuller house and I just felt so sad to see sf so lively.
I just feel the media tries to downplay the looting and some of the vilence not everyone and it drives me crazy. That's all I'll say. I do believe there are people who are protesting peacefully. I am friends with one it's just the crazy that I am upset with

ah I was watching the new episodes of Fuller House the day before yesterday to distract my mind

when I saw that Chinatown was being affected by the actions of out-of-control people too it really struck a chord with me personally and made me upset 😞 (as an Asian American I’m hurt)

I'm glad that you're not too close to what's happening.

I agree with you on the media. I haven't trusted the media in a long time. Yes, I do agree with the peaceful protestors, but the rioters and looters aren't solving anything, they're just making things worse. We're already in a pandemic and an economic shutdown, and all this madness and destruction will only spread the virus and make the economic damage worse. Businesses that were ready to reopen are now being destroyed, and there could be a second wave of coronavirus that could be even worse.

What did they do in Chinatown? Two of the officers were Asian, I believe. I hope there won't be some kind of retaliation.

Thanks guys for understanding. I am feeling a lot better. I was just upset with some of the anchors and guests for saything like it's just buildings or they have insurance. Or my favorite they are doing it to express pain. Um no to all of that
Today they had the funeral and I saw posters doing it for the right reasons so I am still sad but more calm
